FalleN reportedly set to sign with FURIA after recent meeting with organization

Brazilian based organization FURIA is set for a meeting with in-game leader FalleN in the upcoming weeks to discuss the possible signing of the legendary Brazilian player, according to one of the owners André Akkari.

Akkari’s public statement posted back on June 4th took the community by surprise. Even after FURIA contacted Imperial to inquire about FalleN’s situation, fans did not expect such a rapid development of events around the possible transfer.

In the post, FURIA’s owner stated that it is definitely in their plans to attempt to sign FalleN, even mentioning that most fans of the organization want him to join the squad.

Akkari via social media post:

“We are going to meet, but I don’t know if we’ll agree on all variables” “In case it doesn’t work, rest assured that the transfer was heavily considered. It doesn’t depend only on FURIA. FalleN is an icon, a lot of organizations want him.”

Moving forward Akkari was really transparent on FURIA’s plans for the future, saying the organization has a minimum of 5 paths they can take in order to have the best Counter Strike 2 roster for next year. On top of that, he clarified none of these options included sky high buyouts, with the Brazilian team looking to bet on younger talent as they have done since their conception.

Since their birth as an esports organization back in 2017, FURIA has drifted away from absurd salaries and well known players. The organization fully focused on fostering lesser known talent, with examples being the likes of KSCERATO, yuurih, and recently arT which have gone to become high profile players thanks to FURIAS brand.

Only a single player in their current roster has developed on a different team, saffee, with him starting to show his prowess in the server under PaiN Gaming’s CS GO division.

There is a high possibility of this deal going through, as FURIA has managed to establish itself as one if not the best Brazilian organization in the Counter Strike market. If FalleN ultimately agrees to sign with FURIA moving into the launch of Counter Strike 2, we will most likely see a massive roster shuffle within the region. The stability of South American organizations has taken a toll thanks to the lack of results in the last couple of years, reaching a doomsday scenario in2023 with FURIA, PaiN, and Fluxo receiving early elimination at the BLAST Paris Major back in May.

All eyes are in the front office to make good decisions and sensible signings in order to break this unfortunate streak, and FalleN’s signing to FURIA might be the first step for it.
