In actuality, on Mirage Cloud9 was only able to win one round on the T-side before moving on to the second half of the match, even though there were a few incredibly tight rounds. Before MOUZ reacted and took successive rounds to conclude the half with five rounds remaining, Cloud9 was able to extend their lead to 7-1. MOUZ tied the score at seven with a razor-thin post-plant victory in the fourteenth round, having taken the pistol round in the 2nd half. MOUZ quickly picked up their speed once again, winning the next two rounds to seal the game 13–7 in their favor.

With this win MOUZ will now go up against FaZe in the semi-finals, while Cloud9 are now out of the tournament.

In the second game of the day, Natus Vincere advanced to the arena stages of the BLAST World Final, where they will face Vitality in the semifinals. They defeated G2 2-1 to guarantee their berth.

For the first map (Anubis) m0nesy executed a spectacular 1v5 clutch to put G2 on the board, and NAVI dominated G2 for the first five rounds of the game. M0nesy’s clutch play gave G2 some momentum, allowing them to win up to six rounds before the half ended.


NAVI was able to reach the map point ahead of G2 thanks to their excellent performance. However, NAVI succumbed to a force purchase in the following round, which allowed G2 to take the game into overtime. When overtime came along, G2 began on the CT side and won all but one of the remaining rounds to secure NAVI’s map selection.

With a potent T side, G2 won five of their initial six rounds before NAVI won their first. NAVI were able to pick up five rounds as opposed to seven for G2, posting a very competitive scoreline before the half was up. In the second half, G2 completely gave up the control and often failed to string together consecutive rounds, which allowed NAVI to comeback. After securing a 13-11 victory in Inferno, NAVI advanced us to the third map.

On Nuke, both teams traded force buy rounds in a chaotic opening to the series’ final map until NAVI managed to string together five consecutive wins starting with the fifth round. NAVI won 7–5 to round up the first half.

NAVI ended the game rather easily with a score of 13-6 and advanced to the other semi-final to face Vitality.
