G2 Esports has opted to dissolve their women’s Counter-Strike squad, G2 Oya, just 9 months after it was founded, in a move that surprised a lot of people. When G2 Oya was first revealed, it attracted a lot of interest right away. Their performance fell short of expectations, resulting in them finishing in fifth-sixth place in the European division. They again ended in fifth and sixth place, hence the modification did not provide the expected outcomes.
Nevertheless, the team disintegrated once more over LAN, concluding their participation in the group stage of ESL Impact League Season 4: European Division with a 3-2 record. Juliano verified on X that G2 has made the decision to withdraw from ESL Impact.
