Looking to gather easy points this time around
The group stage of Winter 2025 ended with a decent record of 6-3. While this isn’t terrible, considering G2’s performance back in 2024, everyone anticipated a much stronger showing in the playoffs. In the first round of the postseason, they demonstrated their confidence by defeating GiantX 2-0, leaving little room for the opposition to outplay. In the second round of the upper bracket, they secured a solid victory over their long-time rivals Fnatic. Following that, they achieved a 3-1 win against Karmine Corp. However, in the grand finals, they faced Karmine Corp for a second time and unfortunately got swept, losing 0-3. It was quite clear KC adapted not only their playstyle but also their draft, immediately showcasing non meta champions.
Legacy. Dynasty. Caps.

In the first week of LEC Spring 2025, G2 Esports kicked things off with a 2-1 victory against KOI. The Spanish organization has not met expectations, especially after the signing of North American star jojopyun. The series did go to game 3, however G2 showcased a slow and methodical approach. On the back of Hans Sama’s Caitlyn, the veterans were able to take a positive result back home. After their strong start, odds stand at an understandable 1.03 for them to win.
Possibly the worst team in the league
Similar to their performance at LEC Winter 2024, the organization failed to advance beyond the group stage, ending up in the top 9. Their situation didn’t improve at LEC Summer, where Rogue didn’t present anything innovative. In LEC Winter 2025, they played a typical playstyle for themselves but ended up in last place, with no playoffs to mention.

In the current season, Rogue was beaten by Team Heretics with a quick and convincing 2-0 result in favor of TH. This series has shown rookies have improved massively in 2025, as most of Team Heretic’s roster is composed of recently promoted ERL players. Rogue opted for a different approach, signing veteran Adam while keeping Patrik and Malrang on the roster. Odds stand at an extremely high 7.86, with their winning probability around a 13% chance. Unfortunately for them, we don’t see a world where their stagnant playstyle is enough to win against G2.
