Group C stands in a 4-way tie for Second Place
Superstar René ‘TeSeS’ Madsen and his current team Heroic easily dispatched ENCE who are currently in struggling form. This is Heroic’s first victory in the 2022 ESL Pro League Season 16, with only three games left for each lineup to hopefully see who takes the extra step and advances to the playoffs.
Heroic strategically decided to pick ENCE’s current weakest map, with this decision ultimately helping them have a strong start in the series. Heroic demolished ENCE 2-0, with TeSeS coming in clutch with an incredible performance on the first map, Ancient finished 16-13, and thanks to that highlight reel from TeSeS Heroic was able to clinch the win in a rather close ending, preventing the ENCE lineup from getting past 13 rounds.
The second map was an entirely different situation, it wasn’t even close to ENCE. Vertigo, which finished 16-10, gave us a really stable CT side performance from Heroic. Casper ‘cadiaN’ Møller and TeSeS were brick walls that ENCE simply couldn’t break to get into a site, preventing any T side pushes through the game.
Going into our second topic, Group C has an unexpected four-way tie for second place, with first place surprisingly being Complexity.
The single thing separating these squads is overall round +/- difference, which helps Astralis barely be above the rest. Heroic lost to MOUZ 0-2 in the first series of Group C, with a comeback match against ENCE finally going their way as mentioned above.
The second round of games for new signings Valde and SunPayus on the ENCE side didn’t go as well as the first ones, but there’s still some hope to make it to the coveted ESL Pro League playoffs.
Complexity have officially become the first CS GO team in the 2022 ESL Pro League Season 16’s Group C to reach a total of six points after a 2-0 sweep against HEET.
The North American representative has not defeated a European-based team all year until 2 days ago when they upset Astralis. And now, they continued their onslaught with a dominant victory against HEET’s lineup. Complexity quickly finished HEET on Nuke, which actually was HEET’s map pick, the first map ended with a 16-8 scoreline.
Complexity was able to carry this tempo play into Overpass and finished HEET 16-12 despite the French team getting more rounds than game one.
After this defeat, HEET are most likely not going to advance to the playoffs. Sadly, they had already lost in their first series against ENCE and would need to win three series in a row to have the chance of making the playoffs, which seems very unlikely at the moment based on the performance that they have shown in the tournament so far.
The second day of the 2022 ESL Pro League Season 16 Group C will finish with a rematch between ENCE vs. Heroic, so don’t forget to bet on esports at BetUS Sportsbook & Casino. We’ve plenty of CSGO odds for you to consider.
