Kuroky makes surprise return to NAVI
Arman “Malady” Orazbayev was replaced on the NAVI roster by renowned Dota 2 player Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi during the Elite League 2024 Season 2 qualification in Eastern Europe. He helped them in their game against the L1GA Team. Check out this information and more of our articles to help your dota 2 betting adventures!
The support has a fever, according to the manager of the organization on Telegram. KuroKy might not play in the day’s second match, as they’re working to get him in shape. Few people in the Dota 2 community would have expected KuroKy as a possible stand-in, therefore the decision caused some controversy.
Kuroky’s performance
KuroKy defeated L1GA in the first game after putting on a strong Phoenix effort in the first game. Nevertheless, NAVI’s success was short-lived as they lost 2-1 against L1GA Team in the end, sending them to the tournament’s bottom bracket.
After the L1GA match, NAVI went back to using their usual lineup, and Malady was added again for their match against Kalmychata in the lower bracket. Despite being brief, KuroKy’s debut made fans wonder where his career is at. From June 27 to June 29, there is an online closed qualifier for the Eastern European Elite League Season 2. Teams are competing to advance to the championship’s main stage.
Previous teams and results
KuroKy performed for NAVI from February 2013 until August 2014, which is more than 10 years ago. Alongside him, the group won numerous LAN competitions and advanced to The International 2013’s grand final. NAVI never achieved the same level of success until he left to create Team Secret with Clement “Puppey” Ivanov. Even though KuroKy is a legend in the Dota 2 community, many now believe he is past his prime. Critics use his team’s lack of attendance at big events in the last two years and his minimal involvement in ranked play as proof that his ability to compete at the top level is deteriorating.

Over the past two seasons, it has also been common for Nigma players to fill in for other clubs. Given that Nigma has been routinely eliminated from all major qualifiers, players have had plenty of time to consider their options. As a result, some have left, with Mind Control joining OG on loan in 2023 before opting to quit the team entirely.
Nigma Galaxy not participating
Nigma Galaxy retracted their application to compete in the Elite League Season 2 qualifiers. Changes on the tournament’s Liquipedia page indicate that Team Tea will take their position in the WEU qualifications.

The team behind Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi could not provide any justification for this choice. Nigma Galaxy was invited to the $500k Snow Ruyi Invitational, where there was a chance to withdraw their application. The squad may have selected either direct invitation tournament because they are both scheduled for the same dates. Nigma Galaxy’s inclusion on Liquipedia as one of the teams competing in the Snow Ruyi Invitational serves as evidence for this. It’s noteworthy to note that Kuroky’s team will be up against formidable opponents like Team Spirit and Xtreme Gaming throughout this event.
