Following the announcement earlier this week of Felipe “skullz” Medeiros and Wilton “zews” Prado, Liquid confirmed the acquisition of Casper “cadiaN” Møller, a 28-year-old Dane, as the 3rd addition to their roster makeover. At first, there were rumors that the former Heroic captain might join Liquid and after some gossip, the two of them verbally agreed. Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken is rumored to be the last puzzle piece, but no formal confirmation has been released as of yet. After spending a year with Rogue in 2017–18, Casper “cadiaN” Møller is back in NA CS. Since then, cadiaN has grown into one of the game’s most successful and prominent in-game leaders helping Heroic win multiple tournaments and rank as the top team globally on HLTV.
Over the course of his 4 years at Heroic, cadiaN managed to earn a 1.09 rating. He helped the squad win titles at the BLAST Fall Final 2022 and BLAST Spring Final 2023, as well as a few online tournaments like ESL Pro League Season 13 during the pandemic.
Under his direction in Heroic, the squad played in major CS:GO events and frequently placed first in competitions. Møller formally departed from his previous team on December 6. He has received more than $600,000 in winnings over his career. With cadiaN’s exit from Heroic, an untidy chapter in the history of the Norwegian organization comes to an end. Martin “stavn” Lund and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard, the sharpshooter tandem who eventually moved to Astralis in a reported multi-million dollar contract, drove the IGL off the squad.

Even though cadiaN was given the opportunity to revitalize the Heroic team and was welcomed back, he made the decision to leave and join Liquid. This is one of Liquid’s biggest acquisitions since Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo joined the company in the beginning of 2021.
Two significant issues for Liquid are resolved with the signing of cadiaN: he will assume the role of a veteran captain and plug the hole left by Nick “nitr0” Cannella’s departure. Furthermore, he will assume the position of AWP player, which was formerly held by Josh “oSee” Ohm, who failed to perform as well as anticipated in that capacity.
The team’s roster is still missing one player, but the current lineup looks like this: Felipe “skullz” Medeiros, Casper “cadiaN” Møller (captain), Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis, Keith “NAF” Markovic and Wilton “zews” Prado (coach).
The group is anticipating a thrilling campaign in which Liquid attempts to reclaim the top spot in the global Counter-Strike scene. The squad should feel invigorated by the addition of cadiaN. His background and leadership abilities may improve the lineup’s degree of collaboration and communication. A player with the tactical expertise of cadiaN would allow Team Liquid to reorient their strategy in order to more effectively control and dominate the game.
Liquid will be hoping that their overall revamp, together with the acquisition of the victorious Danish leader, will allow them to finally end their offline title failures, which stretches back to IEM Chicago 2019.
