LOUD quickly dismantles GAM at LoL Worlds 2023

The start of Worlds 2023 is officially underway with the initial two Play-In matches. In the latter match of the day, LOUD and GAM Esports clashed horns, with the Brazilian team not only causing an unexpected outcome but also achieving the first penta kill of the event. Not a single gaming prediction in anyone’s list expected to see a penta kill this early on.

During the initial match of LOUD versus their Vietnamese opponents, the Korean AD Carry Route piloted Kai’sa. The player exhibited an exceptional KDA of 11/0/5 and accomplished a penta kill towards the conclusion of the game, thanks to his teammates which decided to dive the fountain in order to get it.

The representatives from CBLOL effectively countered the early aggression displayed by GAM Esports and assumed control of the game around the 20 minute period. Subsequently, they dominated their opponents, with Route becoming an absolute beast during teamfights. In the final teamfight, the ADC swiftly secured a quadra kill, while his remaining teammates aggressively pursued the enemy Xayah in the fountain, solidifying Route’s status as the player to grab the first penta kill at Worlds 2023.

LOUD displayed remarkable dominance in the initial match, and they successfully kept their commanding presence in Game 2. Although the second game witnessed a more focussed GAM side, Route and his team once again emerged victorious thanks to their incredibly methodic teamfighting, ultimately securing a swift triumph in the best of three series.

Riot Games’ featured matchup between Kiaya and Robo was definitely one to pay attention to. Robo is touted as one if not LOUD’s best player in their current roster, with him being an absolute menace during the CBLoL season. Game 2 was where the Brazilian showed viewers what he can truly do, with him piloting Ksante to perfection. A mixture of safe laning against a tough matchup but still managing to capitalize in ganks was enough for Robo to snowball the game. Once his champion was able to buy his power spike it was over for GAM, Robo’s Ksante was able to tank 4 if not all members of the Vietnamese squad, quickly dashing in and out of the teamfight or even directly diving into the enemies’ bot laner without much effort.

After the upset, LOUD advanced to the upper bracket of Group A, whereas GAM Esports descended to the lower bracket. LOUD’s forthcoming opponents will be PSG Talon, who emerged victorious over Movistar R7 in the day’s inaugural match, also securing a 2-0 scoreline. Fans still believe LOUD’s performance might be the sole situation of the squad managing to upset a series, however one thing is certain, the squad’s synergy is there to continue their run at Worlds 2023.
