Monte Falls Down To EPL S18 Group B Last Chance Bracket
With their 2-1 victory over Monte in the losers’ bracket of Group B, MIBR have knocked down the majority-Ukrainian squad to the Last Chance round. The Brazilians need one more victory to qualify for the postseason; their next opponent will be the victor of Heroic vs. MOUZ.
Raphael “egressed” Lacerda appeared on the broadcast to discuss their triumph, and they talked about how they came back from a 6-16 down to Vertigo. “There was a disconnect between how we played and how we talked”. The IGL said that their game versus Monte was substantially improved after they were informed of the problem by BIT and nak.

The newest team member, Rafael “saffee” Costa did exceptionally well in the ratings, coming in at 1.18, while the other summer addition, André, “dropped.” Abreu discovered a number of effective rounds for use on Mirage as well.
The latter gave an interview after the game, gushing over his new squad. Drop started to describe the difference between FURIA and MIBR by saying, “It’s easier because when you’re trying to build your future, we have more freedom to test new things to see what fits us and how we feel comfortable playing.”
They seem to have more faith in me here, which is nice. If the door is silent, I’ll start chatting. They put all their faith in me, and that allows me to play to my strengths and provide for them. When it finally clicks, I feel like dancing.
Monte, on the other hand, has been eliminated from the main competition and will now face the losers of Heroic and MOUZ in the Last Chance bracket.
On MIBR’s chosen map of Vertigo, the Monte T side jumped out to a 6-0 lead thanks in large part to the play of newcomer Alexander “br0” Bro. Despite a lackluster showing from team MVP Felipe “insani” Yuji, MIBR battled back to cut the deficit to 8 points.
With Sergiy “DemQQ” Demchenko’s 1.85 rating at the top of the leaderboard, Monte was able to put together an 8-1 half score and secure a 16-6 victory thanks to their superior CT side.
With 28 kills and a 1.46 rating on Anubis, Insani completely turned around his game and helped MIBR tie the scores. After falling behind 7-14 on the Egypt-themed map, Monte made a valiant effort to rally, but MIBR ultimately sealed the deal, 16-12.
Mirage was the deciding factor after a close 8-7 first half. Then Monte pulled ahead with a victory in the pistol round, but MIBR responded with a force buy to retake the lead, 10-9.
Later on, chaos ensued as MIBR converted a 2vs5 in a pivotal round despite DemQQ being close to stealing a 1vs2 clutch with 5 HP. As a result, MIBR gained the upper hand and went on to win, 16-11, and move closer to the EPL postseason.
