More VALORANT Roster Changes Keep Popping Up In This Offseason
Finally, the VCT 2023 season is over, marking the end of the first year of VALORANT collaboration in the new ecosystem. This year’s plot saw Evil Geniuses go from being written off as the worst team in VCT Americas to being cast as the ultimate underdogs and villains until ultimately emerging victorious as the world champions.
Now that the season is over, the offseason can begin in earnest, although several teams have already begun making moves in the hopes of becoming champions the next year.

The Guard
After The Guard’s roster won Ascension, the organization declined to sign the team agreement for VCT Americas 2024, prompting Riot to declare that no team will ascend. After receiving significant outrage from the community, The Guard released the players, and Riot has since allowed them to “pursue opportunities” with whatever organization they see fit, provided they are a “suitable candidate.”
Team Heretics
With VCT 2024 fast approaching, Heretics has decided to split ways with Wassim “keloqz” Cista and Auni “AvovA” Chahade. Reports claim that the future of star player Mixwell is also uncertain because the player is presently debating whether or not he wants to compete next year. The group has given AvovA permission to explore other possibilities.
Sentinels

Slasher predicts a “90 to 95 percent chance” that TenZ will quit the starting roster of the Sentinels, either because the team decides to part ways with the superstar or because TenZ decides to pursue content production full-time or join a new team. Slasher adds that, should Aspas become available, Sentinels would jump at the chance to offer him a contract.
LOUD
According to esports insider Slasher, LOUD may lose its superstar player Aspas after VALORANT Champions 2023. There are apparently conflicts inside the team as a result of Aspas’s off-field antics. Reportedly, Aspas requested a pay increase along with a contract renewal, but LOUD turned him down.
100 Thieves
Following the departure of general manager Daniel “ddk” Kapadia on July 31, rumors have circulated that 100 Thieves may undergo significant roster changes in preparation for VCT 2024 in the wake of dismal results in 2023. Except for Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk, all of 100 Thieves’ players were signed by Ddk.
DetonatioN FocusMe
Since DetonatioN FocusMe lost every single one of their 2023 VCT matches, they are holding open tryouts for the following year. The Japanese team is set to make significant, if not complete, squad changes.
Karmine Corp
The organization reportedly wants to rebuild until 2024, thus everyone on the roster excluding Shin is up for grabs. It has also been speculated that Andrey “Engh” Sholokhov, coach of M80, and Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer will switch places.
NAVI
According to reports, NAVI and former world champion Mehmet “cNed” pek have parted ways, and the team is actively searching for a replacement.
