Nisqy surprises everyone – Joins as new support for Team Vitality in the LEC

  • Belgian native Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer is joining the Bees for the rest of the LEC campaign.
  • In an unexpected twist, Nisqy will take over the role of support from veteran Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov.
  • Nisqy has never played a professional support role in his career, staying most of his time in the mid lane.

After a disappointing year with SK Gaming back in 2024, where they got knocked out rapidly of the LEC Season Finals, Nisqy found himself without an organization at the beginning of the current campaign. Despite having years of experience in high level competitions, including time in the US, his recent move to Team Vitality as a support has sparked worries among several analysts. They are unsure if Nisqy can quickly adjust to the support role. The League of Legends competitive scene is full of excitement and  esports odds for you to take a look at!

Professional player Nisqy

Showcasing his support talents in Solo Queue

Lately, the player has been concentrating on the support role during his Solo Queue adventures, almost reaching the coveted 1000 LP mark on the EUW ladder as of the moment of writing this article. He is well known for being a leader plus focusing on macro instead of his overall mechanic display, prioritizing his teammates’ success over gathering a sole advantage in his favor. It is important to note, Solo Queue is extremely volatile, especially when you play Support. Thus his performance might not directly translate when facing veterans like Mikyx, Labrov, amongst others in the LEC.

While these factors somewhat justify his shift to a team focused role, it’s surprising that the French organization chose to sign Nisqy instead of promoting Fleshy, an up and coming natural support player from their academy staff.

Highly inconsistent bottom lane already

The player in question has prior experience back in the US within the LCS and has been recognized as a solid performer in his current squad within Europe’s Tier 2 system. Most notably, he played for Karmine Corp Blue at the latter stages of  2024 alongside Caliste, who has since moved up to KC’s main active lineup. Bringing Nisqy on board could be seen as a massive gamble for a Vitality squad that has already suffered massive backlash in the past, given the many factors at play.

Nisqy will join forces with Carzzy in the bottom lane, marking a reunion with his old MAD Lions teammate. Unfortunately, this is also a negative point for the move, as Carzzy has recently been one of the most inconsistent bot laners in the league. Even though the LEC is currently on a small break due to First Stand being live, Team Vitality is looking to build excitement for the upcoming Spring Split with this daring roster move.
