NRG back to CS2 with new roster
About 4 years ago, the North American team NRG vanished from the Counter-Strike landscape. Seeing them go just when it looked like they were headed for success was really heartbreaking. However, as NRG is currently making a comeback to the cutthroat world of Counter-Strike, there’s always time. It is an exciting day for fans and the NA CS2 world that this well-known organization is returning. Continue reading this article for the best information on esports predictions!
There have been rumors circulating since early November that the North American group is in need of a CS2 team. They later verified these rumors and disclosed that, although they had a “core in mind,” none of those players had committed to any formal contracts or terms.

The team wants to become the best in North America and earn a spot in the Major. Damian “daps” Steele, Justin “FaNg” Coakley, Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte, Jadan “HexT” Postma, and Josh “oSee” Ohm make up the team’s new lineup.

Talent from several elite teams is mixed together to form the new roster. 3 players, daps, FaNg, and Brehze, have returned to NRG in a poetic turn of events. They are now triumphantly returning to the group.
Reunion attendees include well-known figures like Joshua “oSee” Ohm from Team Liquid and Jadan “HexT” Postma from EG, who was fired from his prior team a few hours before. Together, these players’ diverse skill sets and experiences create a potent team that bodes well for NRG’s comeback to competitive competition.
The 24-year-old oSee is without a doubt the highlight of this roster. The young player spent the previous 2 years with Team Liquid. Team Liquid gained a lot from his ability to take headshots and set up rounds for his group. Sadly, Team Liquid’s performance in CS:GO competitions was lackluster, leading to a total squad change.
Brehze’s play deteriorated in his last season at EG, which ultimately resulted in his benching in June 2023. But his comeback to the competitive Counter-Strike scene has been gathering steam for some time now. The NA rifler seems prepared to compete again after dominating CS2’s Premier matchmaking. Brehze’s commitment to CS2 hasn’t gone ignored, and it appears that NRG views him as a key component of their Major qualifying strategy.
FanG leaves Complexity to join NRG, having been absent in almost five months. The team was not playing up to par, and the player has a 0.94 rating at Complexity. It will be intriguing to observe how his contribution to NRG is affected by a new lineup and leadership.
Daps was released by NA rival Liquid on November 20 and returned to NRG as an IGL. After leaving Orgless in April 2022, daps hasn’t been a reliable starter in the starting five-man roster for more than a year.
Jadan “HexT” Postma, who departed Evil Geniuses on November 28 after nearly 18 months with the North American team, completes the roster.
Remarkably, NRG placed fourth in the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, their most recent competition. Therefore, it would be interesting to watch how this North American team does when they rejoin the competitive Counter-Strike arena.
