Breeze made his map debut on the opening map of the VCT Americas 2024 season thanks to the new map pool. Though their compositions were identical, everyone’s gaze was drawn to the Jett mirror. Demon1 took off, giving NRG an 8-4 lead at the half. The script remained unchanged, as NRG could win the opening gun round of the 2nd half, even if FURIA won the 2nd pistol and converted the anti-eco. NRG was in the lead after leading by 4 rounds earlier, thus they didn’t mind trading rounds back and 4th between the 2 teams. NRG ultimately prevailed with a score of 13–10. Although that’s not the best performance against FURIA, a team with a lower ranking, fans overlook it because they’re only getting warmed up.

After defeating their opponent on the first map, NRG appeared to have a strong chance to rapidly win the second map, Ascent. Havoc outperformed his last map right away, giving FURIA a good start to their first half. But much like in map one, NRG stepped up the heat in the 2nd half, and in his NRG debut, Ethan showed why he was a valuable fragging IGL. FURIA started the 2nd half with a 2-round lead after winning the pistol and 2nd rounds for the 3rd time in this series. NRG was done teasing and won the series 13–8, taking out FURIA in 7 of the eight rounds. Once more, Ethan was Ascent’s overall MVP and the player with the highest rating among the NRG players. Outstanding performance from the seasoned player. NRG’s Valorant roster passed the initial test with this victory, making their debut despite dropping 3 of 4 pistol clashes. The team moved on to the next round, where they will compete in the VCT Americas Kickoff Playoff Stage against Cloud9.
