OG welcomes Wisper and Ari for the 2024 season
Adrian “Wisper” Dobles, formerly of beastcoast and Evil Geniuses, will take Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin’s seat. Tommy “Taiga” Le’s role will be taken over by Matthew “Ari” Walker, who was previously with TSM. Considering how young they are, they both have a great chance of succeeding in Europe. Even still, it’s difficult to think that OG is going to prevail with this squad. The only way is for Ceb to keep playing and practicing as hard as he did in the past.

Beginning on November 16th, fans will get the opportunity to witness the new roster in action as the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 qualifications get underway. They are in Lisbon, Portugal, right now for a bootcamp. With an emphasis on “team bonding, development, and practicing,” OG wants to make a big impression on the new year. Unlike past years, the OG kid will have the experienced Ceb at their side as a leader from the beginning.
Wisper is regarded as one of the world’s top offlaners and possibly the most impressive player to come out of South America. His former squad, Evil Geniuses, fell out of The International 2023 in 13th–16th place, and he walked away from the team earlier this month.
Ceb, who is now married, is unable to devote 10 to 12 hours a day to playing Dota. Even with only 50% practice, though, his extensive expertise should enable him to remain in the top half. But Dota 2 is, and always has been, a game in which you can either be a member of one of the world’s top teams or, more likely, lose money.

Ari, in the meantime, made waves with his TSM performance in North America. He played a key role in the team’s ascent to a 9th–12th place finish in TI 2023, which included a significant victory over Shopify Rebellion.
With the announcement of the new roster they shared on their website the following statement: “We are introducing two new players in Wisper and Ari, as our offlane and soft support respectively while re-introducing Yuragi, BZM and Ceb – with Ceb taking on a captain role of the team both on and off the server. Every player on our team is both a member of the OG fam and a chapter in the OG story.”. They hope a fresh roster that combines “a fusion of raw talent and seasoned leadership” will help them look to rebuild in the upcoming season.
The top four squads at The International 2023 will not be playing in qualifying matches because ESL One has given them a direct ticket to the $1,000,000 competition. Nevertheless Team Spirit had already pulled out of the tournament.
This tournament will feature 7 regions: NA, SA, WEU, EEU, MENA, China, SEA.
Given OG’s enormous success at past The International events, it probably won’t be a huge deal if this lineup performs subpar.
The squad will ultimately look like this: Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev, Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov, Adrián “Wisper” Dobles, Matthew “Ari” Walker, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs (captain) and Mikhail “Misha” Agatov (coach).
