One of the best young and talented CS GO AWP mains not only in its division but in the world, Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov, will look to challenge himself more often against S Tier opposition now that he’s in fact officially a part of OG’s roster for the rest of the 2022 CS GO competitive season.
The 21 year old super star joined OG on a closed transfer around July 15th during the player break, less than a month after he temporarily took the spot of Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski and later assisted OG reach the semifinals of the 2022 BLAST Premier Spring Finals. Degster averaged a high 1.16 rating within that event, according to HLTV stats, which definitely convinced OG to bite the bullet and buy him from Team Spirit, ultimately replacing mantuu by the end of the move.
Degster recently stated in an interview with HLTV ahead of the 2022 BLAST Premier Fall Groups, the first S tier competition following the summer player break, that there were offers from different teams which approached him earlier on, but he ultimately decided to join OG because the organization is willing to give him the freedom to play his most comfortable play style which leans more towards an aggressive play making Awper.
The Russian native AWP main wants to use his playing time under the OG brand to improve his skill set and in-game adaptability, to help them win “big” tournaments, which neither he nor OG have managed to accomplish through their time in the CS GO competitive scene.

Degster later stated in an interview: “I think the time in OG is my time to improve myself” “Right now we don’t have a big system because we’re playing with each other only nine days as a team. I can see that our potential is on a high level anyway, we just need to understand how we can work with each other and how we can support each other on the map.”

All expectations are definitely in place and will be on the Russian AWP main during OG’s games at the 2022 BLAST Premier Fall Groups stage, his actual first S Tier tournament as an official member of the international OG roster.
“It’s also really important for me as a sniper, because I need my players to understand how they can help me to do what I’m doing on the map,” he said. “If people don’t understand it and play by themselves, it’s much harder to win against top teams. For me the biggest goal is to beat top teams and to win top tournaments. I’ve never won a tier-one tournament and I really want to, I’m really excited to win it with OG.”
OG have been drafted into Group A alongside big names such as Astralis, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Vitality. They will battle against some of the best teams in the world, making this a great opportunity for Degster to prove his worth. The CSGO odds project OG as one of the strongest Group A teams in the upcoming tournament.
