At least one Asian organization secured a victory on the first day of PGL Bucharest 2025. Rare Atom, seen as major underdogs, completely overwhelmed Virtus.pro, who could only manage 10 rounds throughout the entire series. ICY stood out as the lone bright spot for VP, but aside from that, there wasn’t much to celebrate. This marked the second upset of the day in a quick 2-0 match.
While G2 might not have been impacted by the ongoing m0NESY transfer rumors, Falcons are still waiting for consistency. They faced a crushing defeat against Complexity, losing 2-0, with none of the Falcons players able to maintain their focus during the fixture. This marks another disappointing moment for the Falcons as they drop to the 0-1 class at PGL Bucharest, falling to a Complexity lineup that has its own set of issues since 2024. It was another challenging day for them, resulting in yet another underwhelming result when compared to their paychecks.
TL entered this match with high hopes, believing that siuhy could help resolve their numerous issues. However, Brazilian underdogs Legacy had different plans, dominating them in a 2-0 series, with map scores that seemed closer than they really were. We didn’t see much proactiveness from TL’s new addition, as the expectations were bloated before coming into the roster. Overall, there are even more dire problems in the lineup, especially NAF’s performance as the fragging veteran only managed to secure a mere 12 kills across both maps.
G2 and Aurora were the only expected positive results
3-0 clean game from us , I trolled a bit but it’s the best for content 😶🌫️

Everyone was taken aback when it was announced that the Eternal Fire team would be moving to Aurora, effective immediately. They quickly got back on track, winning a challenging 2-1 series against paiN Gaming, who honestly seemed to be performing better than they have in a while. In a day filled with lopsided matches, fans found some consistency in the results.
Finally, a match that provided us a much needed expected result. G2 has been struggling lately leading up to PGL Bucharest, but their reputation alone led most to believe they would triumph over GamerLegion. And they did, finishing the match in just two maps. It seems G2 hasn’t been shaken by the recent rumors of m0NESY moving to Falcons, but everyone doubts they will maintain this level of consistency throughout the event.
