Vitality, stepping in with JACKZ in place of mezii for this event, has demonstrated remarkable performances under weird circumstances. They secured a convincing 2-0 victory against MOUZ, which appeared relatively straightforward at first glance. While it is important to commend Vitality for their achievement, one cannot overlook MOUZ’s continued struggles on the international stage. The German organization managed to gather only 6 rounds on both Dust 2 and Mirage, resulting in a series that lacked excitement for the viewers.
This was a significant day for nearly every player under the Vitality brand. The only exception was IGL apEX, who finished the series with a negative score. However, with his teammates securing kills at such a high rate, there was little opportunity for him to shine individually especially under his role as captain. Most notably, JACKZ has proven to be a valuable asset during his time as a stand in, achieving a kill to death ratio of 23-15 over the 2 maps.
Spirit destroyed Faze, pushing them down even further

The day’s second match featured Spirit eliminating FaZe Clan from the event during the quarter finals stage, further compounding FaZe’s struggles this year. The match concluded with a 2-0 scoreline, although FaZe put up a strong fight on the server. Spirit required double overtime on the second map (Anubis) to secure their victory. Given that FaZe held a 12-9 round advantage at one stage, they will undoubtedly feel disappointed for not managing to extend the series to a third map.
Karrigan’s situation is somewhat unfortunate. In Anubis, he looked to become more aggressive which actually worked, frequently securing 1 or 2 kills at the start of the round for FaZe. Regrettably, these chances were often squandered by his team, highlighting the inconsistent performance of FaZe members this season. This finish at Singapore may not be sufficient to salvage this roster, although the upcoming Shanghai Major still presents an opportunity for redemption.
As for Spirit, their aggression continues to be incredibly important, as when the squad played slow they didn’t look as good. Ultimately we will have to wait and see if they manage to push into the finals, to grab their second title of the year.
