Taking A Look At One Of INSaNiA’s Worst Moments

Team Liquid has qualified for Ti12 after finishing in second place in another Dota 2 Major. Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi is well-known in the Dota 2 community for his various achievements. He’s a professional Dota 2 player, but he’s also made mistakes like the iNSaNiA gyro choice. Some of his most important contributions are listed below.

A major Dota 2 mishap for iNSaNiA at DreamLeague Season 19 may have cost Team Liquid the championship. Of course, Team Liquid is still one of the best teams in the world and a favorite at the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 (DPC 2023) alongside Gaimin Gladiators.

After what happened in DreamLeague S19, it was probably predetermined that Liquid would play Gaimin in a decisive Grand Final at the Berlin Major. Let’s just say that Liquid just lost a lot of money and a trip to the Riyadh Masters 2023 because of one small detail.

In Game 3, iNSaNiA faced off against Chen with Liquid and Gaimin knotted at 1-1. Near a jungle camp, iNSaNiA lost his Holy Locket just before a decisive team fight. After 10 minutes, iNSaNiA finally realized he was missing a crucial item that increased the healing power of his team, but it was found by Micha “Nisha” Jankowski. Only luck kept it from being picked up by the other team!

It’s possible that iNSaNiA accidentally dropped his Holy Locket as he was trying to return a neutral item. For a split second, he even considered restocking on the Holy Locket, before abandoning the plan.

Regardless, Gaimin’s side might have been more likely to win following team battles due to the minimal healing they received. Considering how close the DreamLeague S19 grand finals were, this loss must really hurt iNSaNiA. Team Liquid might not have needed game 5 of DreamLeague S19 if games 1 and 2 hadn’t been so close and iNSaNiA’s Chen hadn’t misplaced his Holy Locket in game 3.

Team Liquid will have their year in 2023 if they can unseat Gaimin Gladiators. However, things weren’t always that way. In reality, a year ago at this time, Team Liquid was dealing with an entirely other set of challenges that led to their demise just before the event’s main stage debut.

iNSaNiA called his drafts “garbage” and the team’s playstyle “not much better” on Twitter, apologizing to fans despite making no egregious misclick blunders. After losing the China Dota 2 Super Major in 2016, Liquid is still hungry for revenge.

One thing in iNSaNiA’s favor is that he takes full responsibility for his errors. When asked about past mistakes, he remarked in 2020, “If you’re playing Dota 2 and constantly blaming your teammates, then you’re just wasting your life.”

Although he has had some infamous Dota 2 flops, iNSaNiA is still regarded as a top player in the globe. He is one of just five players that can guarantee themselves a spot at The International 2023.
