They had to live up to their own narratives. Since Paris was chosen to host the final CSGO Major, Vitality has had their sights set on winning the trophy for their home city. Every Vitality kill sent the entire stadium into raptures, so it was clear who the crowd in the Accor Arena were rooting for. They didn’t want to let anyone down.

The outcome of the BLAST.tv Paris Major Grand Final was well expected. GamerLegion could never truly pose a danger to Vitality since they had too much professional experience and too much personal quality. Some people were concerned after Heroic was defeated by GamerLegion, but everything turned out as planned in the end.

The first map was a rout, and siuhy and his men didn’t start to pick up the pace until the second map. They were unfortunate since Vitality prevailed at every turn and won the series 2:0. Here, there was not to be any upheaval. Whether GamerLegion liked it or not, Vitality was taking home their first-ever CSGO Major victory.

Vitality’s Record Breaking Run

In addition to setting numerous CSGO Major records, Vitality’s victory is significant for many more reasons. There is dupreeh first. How can you even begin dealing with this man? the only participant of all 19 CSGO Majors, which is an incredible accomplishment in and of itself. But before, he and his former Astralis teammates dev1ce, gla1ve, and Xyp9x, who each had four Major titles, were tied for the most.

As of right now, Dupreeh is the only player to have won five CSGO Majors. Dupreeh has received a lot of criticism for his form over the previous 12 months, but in Paris he went back in time to demonstrate that while form is transient, quality is indelible.

Finally, there is Magisk. He is now tied with his Astralis colleagues on four CSGO Major victories, having previously won three of them. He displaces dupreeh, dev1ce, gla1ve, and Xyp9x as the longest player at more than seven and a half years.

To put their record into perspective, it took them about one year and eight months between ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017 and FACEIT Major: London 2018, therefore it will be challenging to top it by more than six years.

Is ZywOo The Goat?

ZywOo is the last one. Quite rightly, the MVP of the BLAST.tv Paris Major. In terms of numbers, only iM of GamerLegion compares in Paris, and the MVP was always awarded to the tournament winner.

The biggest injustice in the history of the game would have occurred if ZywOo had finished CSGO without earning a Major for his efforts. NiKo, GuardiaN, or EliGE can all be mentioned, but no one deserves it more than this man. He may rest easy knowing that by winning the final CSGO Major, he cemented his place in gaming history.

You must assume that ZywOo will win more Major trophies given that he accomplished this achievement at the age of 22. He has unquestionably been the world’s top CSGO player this year, and if he keeps playing like this, his name will continue to come up in discussions about the GOAT.
