Virtus.pro surprises everyone
The match between Virtus.pro and Falcons was one of the most unusual series we might witness this year. For those who enjoy watching Falcons struggle, this was the perfect matchup. On all three maps, Falcons took a strong lead, only to lose it each time, managing to win just one map. The final score was 2-1 in favor of Virtus.pro, a positive outcome that most fans did not see coming, even while the series was being played. Falcons let a 12-5 lead slip away in the deciding map and ultimately lost after a grueling triple overtime, which says a lot about their inconsistencies.
We are out of BLAST Open Lisbon.

Interestingly, the players on Falcons didn’t perform poorly individually. Their shots were landing well, but they lacked the synergy and aggression needed to finish the contest. This was another tough outing for a Falcons side that still looks lost, and they need to move on quickly if they want to achieve any success this campaign. It’s time for zonic to rethink their strategy, especially now that they have NiKo on the lineup.
NA is still in the gutter
We can’t even begin to understand the frustration of being a Counter Strike fan in North America. Watching Team Liquid struggle against The MongolZ was just the same memory of the last couple of years, and it’s clear that the Twistzz IGL experiment did not provide the expected results. The series ended 2-0, but even the scores of 13-7 and 13-8 don’t do justice to how poorly Team Liquid played.
Difficult end to a strong CT half and we’re out of @BLASTPremier Lisbon 🇵🇹
GGs to @1mongolz, small mistakes end up costing us big in the long run. Need to head back to the drawing board. https://t.co/ackysYNSzv

Despite all the criticism he’s faced, jks was the only player who really showed up in this match. The rest of the team was completely outperformed by The MongolZ, resulting in yet another disappointing outcome for Team Liquid in a CS2 tournament. This team needs to start delivering results, and they need to do it quickly.
The Upper Bracket stage is set to decide which organization secures the coveted spot in the semifinals immediately, while the Lower Bracket will identify the final two rosters advancing to Lisbon for a grueling Quarter Finals.
