After a couple of grueling days, YapzOr unfortunately has put his competitive Dota 2 career on hold due to unexpected health reasons, Team Secret announced today via social media. The team will look to play its remaining and possible future matches/series with a new reinforcement, Zayac.

Both of the parties involved, Team Secret and YapzOr did not reveal any additional details regarding the medical situation but considering Valve has allowed for a mid season roster change exception for the team, YapzOr sadly might be out of the team longer than the community might expect. Dota 2 professional teams are only allowed to make roster changes in between DPC “seasons”. Rosters get absolutely locked during the previously mentioned DPC seasons.
YapzOr’s absence from the competitive Dota 2 scene marks the end of an extremely long five year professional career with Team Secret. He’s been a part of a lot of different versions of Team Secret since their start back in 2017. Throughout his stint in Team Secret, YapzOr competed in quite a lot of international events, securing several high place finishes in a decent number of them.

We also would like to thank Valve for allowing a mid-season roster change.

A short time after announcing YapzOr’s departure from the organization, Team Secret welcomed Zayac to the team. Zayac has been away from the competitive scene for quite a while. After an impressive one year long period with teams such as Na’Vi and Virtus Pro, Zayac continued to play with NoTechies, HellRaisers, and HYDRA before joining back to a tier 1 team in Team Secret.

Team Secret Current Situation
Team Secret is currently battling to avoid relegation in one of the best currently ongoing dota betting events, the DPC WEU 2022 Tour 3. They most recently beat Gaimin Gladiators in a best-of-3 series, where Team Secret came back after a disappointing performance in game 1. The next 2 games were some of the most intense ones we’ve had in the DPC WEU Tour 3, and against the dota odds, Team Secret ended up winning each game after the 45th minute mark..
Of course it’s not easy to perform to a high level after such a difficult change, as a veteran member is no longer bringing their expertise in the live server. However Team Secret at this point is definitely a tenure organization, which should be able to come out of hard situations like this. Currently the team will be looking to other members within the roster to pull back the organization to safety in the Western European DPC.
