Team Secret makes big roster changes

With coach Tue “ah fu” Soon Chuan moving up to the team’s position four, Team Secret has made an internal lineup adjustment in Dota 2. After it was previously reported that Marcel “Ekki” Hołowienko had departed Secret, he takes his position. Ekki is currently benched. After Ah fu left, the coach position became available, and Lee “Heen” Seung Gon, who had been out of the picture, came back to fill it. Heen, who has been with Secret for almost 5 years, took a hiatus from professional Dota 2 late last year. Check out this information and more of our articles to help your dota 2 betting adventures!

The fact that Ekki was benched was expected, since the support had already disclosed it this month. With him at the helm, Secret managed to emerge from their early-year slump. They competed in DreamLeague S22 and had deep runs in every qualification. Still, they only placed 11–12th. Ekki will be listed as inactive for Team Secret. The 21-year-old player became a member of Team Secret on January 6, taking Yamich’s place. The fourth-ranked Polish/British player with Team Secret competed in several tournament qualifiers and won the DreamLeague Season 22 Closed Qualifiers. Unfortunately, the team’s inability to place in the top 10 of the competition marked the end of his final season with Secret.

Ekki reportedly quit Secret a few days ago. His initials, “LFT,” are also mentioned in his bio. Ah fu now assumes his position as a natural position four player after coaching the club for four months. Playing heroes like Earth Spirit and Earthshaker, he is generally seen making moves and going for kills. He is known for his aggressive support playstyle. Puppey had earlier discussed Ah Fu’s overall presence in the team, emphasizing how his brief time at Team SMG with Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng had given him a new outlook on playstyles. Conversely, Puppey anticipates veteran coach Heen making a comeback to active coaching, and he will help the squad with general strategy and drafting. Along with Heen’s return and his abundance of coaching experience, the addition of ah fu as a seasoned player to the starting lineup gives the squad a significant boost in veteran presence. This is different from the previous Secret group, where Puppey was the main player due to the other four players’ relative youth.

Lee “Heen” Seung Gon is well-known for his triumphant coaching careers. He won TI7 with Team Liquid and placed third on several podiums with Team Secret. Now that he’s back in the fold, Team Secret might finally have the missing element. Team Secret has Elite League scheduled ahead of them as well. Twenty-four of the top teams in the globe, including well-known squads like Nigma Galaxy and Team Spirit, will compete against one another.

Secret is hoping that these adjustments would help turn things around for them because they haven’t been able to overcome their very poor performances from the 2024 competition season. The team’s next appearances will be in the Elite League and DreamLeague Season 23: Western Europe Closed Qualifier. Fans are excited to see how this team develops into the future.
