Thunder Predator down to three as Mathew leaves

Thunder Predator had a great season in the South American competitive scene of Dota 2, esports betting fans will recall. However, as the season comes to an end, the team is down one of its best members. The Predators are left with three active members and the organization starts its hunt to complete the roster.

2020 for Predators

The competitive scene of Dota 2 has suffered significantly due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Valve paused the Dota Pro Circuit for the moment, as players failed to make it to the tournaments. However, multiple regional tournaments filled in the gap for the DPC events. Similarly, the South American region also enjoyed several regional tournaments during the year. This season was pretty exciting for Thunder Predator, as the team finished first multiple times in different events. Similarly, the team also secured second and third spots multiple times.

As the season came to an end, Farith “Matthew” Puente decided to take a break from the professional Dota until the DPC returns. The organization has officially announced the departure of Matthew from the roster.

Predators Announcement

The organization announced the departure of Matthew through its official Facebook page. Predators thanked Matthew in the post for his time with the squad and wished him good luck for his upcoming journeys. The official roster of Thunder Predator is down to three members now. The stand-in in the team, Alexis ‘Sl4d1n-’ Cepeda is still under contract with Infamous. Therefore, the organization is not considering the professional in its official roster for the time being.

TP’s Roster

The three active members of Thunder Predator are Alonso “Mnz” Leon, Romel “Mjz” Quinteros, and Leonardo “Leostyle-” Sifuentes. The team is currently searching for the remaining two members of the squad. Although a stand-in is playing in the team, the organization is looking for a permanent member.

The official sign up page for Dota 2 Majors and Minors disclosed that Matthew has already found a new home. The professional has moved to a new roster, called Omega Gaming. The team will perform in the new year, as the Dota Pro Circuit resumes in the first month of 2021’s sports betting action.

South American Dota

As the DPC is scheduled to begin in the first month of the next year, fans are hoping for some action in the South American region. Similarly, Thunder Predator will most likely find new professionals to begin their season in the next year. We hope that the expected new squad of the team performs at the level of the former team, as the organization had a great 2020. Matthew moves to another squad and takes a break from competitive gaming for some time. Fans are waiting for the professional to play again in another team as well. On the other hand, Thunder Predator still looks for the missing pieces in the team. The stand-in Alexis is currently playing for TP. However, the professional is under contract with Infamous, as a streamer.
