Treatz set to come back to NA after brief stint in the LEC

League of Legends support veteran Erik “Treatz” Wessén is set to return to the North American LCS after his recent signing with Immortals moving into the 2023 LCS Summer Split, the team announced the news via social media.

Treatz is no stranger to the North American scene, as he last played in the LCS during the 2020 season, where he was a member of Team Solo Mid as their sixth man who later on won the LCS Summer Split. He split game time with starting support Biofrost during that split, with TSM grabbin 6 of the 8 games where Treatz was playing as the starting support.

From that moment on, Treatz decided to fly back to his home land, the LEC, continuing his competitive path during the 2021 and 2022 seasons with SK Gaming. Even though SK ultimately failed to impress in the LEC with Treatz in the active lineup, he absolutely proved to be a knowledgeable and consistent player for any team. With his main attribute being engage supports, which at one point even helped him fill SK’s jungle role when he ventured into a role swap process back in 2022 for a single split, Treatz was able to make a name for himself.

Treatz has not played an official professional League of Legends game since being released by SK last December, with small appearances within the LEC’s casting/analyst desk being his latest work with the game. Within the Immortals organization, Treatz will be continuing his work as a support main, replacing the departed Kadir “Fleshy” Kemiksiz, who has been demoted to the organization’s NACL (Academy) roster. Sadly that meant that the team released its current Challengers support main Joseph “Joey” Haslemann as a domino effect.

Treatz will need to come into the LCS with his A game, as he is joining an Immortals squad in desperate need of guidance and leadership. A turnaround split is a must in 2023, with Immortals becoming the 2nd worst LCS organization performance-wise after only taking 4 games and finishing the previous split with a 2-12 run.

Fans can look forward to bottom lane-focused play and a plethora of aggression once Treatz comes in. Alistar, Leona, Thresh, and even Bard are champions he is well versed on and which hopefully will bring a new face to a dire situation.

He will be reuniting with his ex-TSM Academy bot laner Tactical, together they managed to win 2 LCS Academy championships back in 2019. Treatz is set to make his debut with Immortals once the 2023 LCS Summer Split begins on June 1st.
