TSM Presents New LCS Roster for the Rest of the Summer Split
Recently, Team Solo Mid’s assistant general manager Glen Yang has provided unexpected news on the new League of Legends LCS team that includes a plethora of mid-split roster swaps, all of this ahead of week four of the 2022 LCS Summer Split.
TSM unveils their updated LCS lineup
After announcing what some deemed inevitable, veteran top laner Huni is stepping down from the roster due to continuous known wrist injuries, TSM has also revealed additional changes to both its LCS main roster and Academy lineups moving forward in the LCS main tournament and LCS Academy Summer Splits.

The new official LCS lineup will be built around current LCS jungler Spica and mid laner Maple, focusing on a duo mid jungle synergy strategy similar to previous world champions. The organization has promoted TSM Academy top laner S0ul and bot laner Instinct to the active LCS team. On top of that, the team has acquired Golden Guardians Academy support Chime to join Instinct in the bottom lane due to previous “synergy” with Instinct, according to Yang’s statement on Reddit, both players feel quite comfortable and understand how each other plays.
After Chime’s departure, Golden Guardians Academy did bring a new “support” to the roster, unexpectedly they brought back former bot laner Prismal as the academy team’s new support as he looks to help the squad to hopefully climb up from their current ninth place standing within the LCS Academy Summer Split.
Right now, the lol odds are heavily against TSM as they are on an underwhelming 2-5 scoreline so far in the 2022 LCS Summer Split and tied for eighth place with Dignitas for that final spot in the playoff stage. TSM will have an opportunity to test out the new roster changes in week four against really tough opponents in Cloud9 and FlyQuest.
In the meantime, the bot lane duo of Tactical and Mia will play with TSM Academy due to apparent “ongoing personal and performance issues” for the ADC and to work on confidence with Mia. As a result of these changes to the Academy team, TSM has also announced that ex-TSM Academy jungler Hyper and support Shenyi have been demoted/dismissed.
In Hyper’s case, Yang revealed that “despite putting in more effort this summer split than he did in the last split, he was still unable to meet expectations.”
In Shenyi’s case, it was revealed that the decision was made due to a “lack of motivation combined with the absence of shot-calling.” Nevertheless TSM is receiving a lot of criticism due to the way words are used in Shenyi’s departure statement.
To fill these new vacancies in TSM Academy, the organization decided to focus on tenure, bringing on LCS veteran top laner Solo and LCS veteran jungler Anda, who will play remotely from Canada until visa procedures are approved.
TSM Academy (similar to the main roster) is tied at the bottom, however for a ninth place alongside Golden Guardians Academy. Both teams will look to better themselves and earn their place in the regular season standings with their brand-new lineups.
