TSM’s CS roster leaked, however fans are not excited about it
The words “mid” or “average” could perfectly describe the leaked TSM CS GO roster. Most fans expected the organization to come back to the CS scene guns blazing, however the July 24th leak suggests TSM went for a more safe or even “affordable” lineup.
The brand new TSM lineup reportedly will showcase Breach’s former entry fragging star Cai “CYPHER” Watson, ex G2 player Audric “JACKZ” Jug, former North member and IGL Valdemar “valde” Vangså, ex Cloud 9 support Timofey “interz” Yakushin, and lastly Romanian youngster Mădălin-Andrei “MoDo” Mirea as the main AWPer. As for the head coach role, the leak mentions Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam as the main man at the helm, with him previously working with both G2 Esports and Team Vitality in recent years.

Before Draky’s leak via social media, TSM was heavily linked with CYPHER, JACKZ, interns, and XTQZZZ, thanks to an early report by 1pv.fr around July 6th. There was one more name within said rumors, dupreeh, however he later clarified there was no plan for a possible contract with the North American based organization.
Dupreeh was THE player that could have possibly pushed this roster to the next level, especially when paired with a resurgent CYPHER. Both players have recently achieved a lot within the esports scene, with dupreeh winning the BLAST.tv Paris Major back in May and CYPHER being one of the best players in the event. However without a superstar such as dupreeh in the main lineup, it seems all the other pieces won’t tie well with each other.
The community has ultimately agreed that TSM’s leaked roster does not have enough fragging power to battle against top 8 Tier 1 sides. Even if CYPHER is in peak form, the other 4 members are not quite known for their kill tally, meaning it would take a tremendous effort from the British man to carry a series against the best in the world.
This roster would be TSM’s return to the CS GO competitive scene since breaking ties with their North American roster back in January of 2017. The main reasoning behind their sudden hiatus was the dismissal of in-game leader Season Gares due to a complicated player rights dispute in 2016.
Most notably TSM sponsored almost all players that would later become the best team in CS GO history, Astralis. Players such as dupreeh, Xyp9x, device, cajunb, and Karrigan all once played together under the TSM brand, with all of them managing to win at least 1 CS GO Major in their peak years. Fans will be rather disappointed if TSM jumps from the likes of that former roster, to a CYPHER plus company lineup.
