Strong lineup

Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, Ivan “Pure~” Moskalenko, Edgar “9Class” Naltakian, and Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon comprised Tundra Esports’ formidable squad. The team made a solid start to their voyage in the upper bracket. They knocked both teams into the lower bracket with a quick 2-0 victory over NAVI Junior and another 2-0 triumph over Team Secret. They lost a closely contested series 2-1 against team Entity in the upper bracket finals, which put a dent in their winning streak. They were eliminated from the lower bracket and advanced to the finals, where they faced PSG Quest, a team that had been sweeping the lower bracket up until that moment.

Despite the difficult opposition, Tundra Esports prevailed 2-1 to guarantee their spot at The International 2024. Despite their best efforts, PSG Quest was unable to duplicate their previous year’s triumph in the regional qualifying round.

Their strategy

Compared to other teams, Tundra’s route to TI13 was somewhat simpler, though not significantly so. They breezed through their opening game against NAVI Junior to reach the upper bracket semifinals. Additionally, this second match was far simpler than it could have been because Puppey’s squad was not performing well because squad Secret defeated MOUZ.

Tundra won both of these games by a score of two. Their two favorite heroes were Dark Willow (also chosen three times in four games) and Storm Spirit (selected three times). It makes perfect sense that Topson and Pure~ are at the center of Tundra’s plan. These two players are among the greatest in the world at what they do, thus if they play well together, they will typically lead the side to victory.

It’s also important to remember that RAMZES joined the team in May. Thus, Tundra has about a month to be ready for this qualifying match. It’s far simpler to succeed when you surround yourself with elite players who have won Majors and even The International, especially with a little bit of luck.

The International 2024

The International 2024 is scheduled to take place in the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark in September. This will be The International’s second visit to Europe, but ideally the first that fans will be able to see in person. When the global epidemic struck in 2020, Valve made an attempt to bring its most renowned event to Europe for the first time. TI10 was relocated from Sweden to Romania and rescheduled for 2021. A fresh wave of coronavirus compelled Valve to refund all tickets even though they had been sold, and the tournament was moved to an empty stadium in Bucharest.
