Team Liquid Pulls Off Amazing Comeback
Last Sunday, Team Liquid turned their game against FlyQuest on its head, after FQ had total control over the match but it just took a couple of good teamfights from TL to secure the victory. It’s scary to see that even in the worst-looking games, Team Liquid always finds a way to turn things around in their favor.
While the gold deficit didn’t go higher than 5k for TL, the game was looking doomed as FlyQuest had everything they needed to score the win, but Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg performance on Swain was the determining factor for their comeback, and that’s why he got the MVP award. He finished the game with a 3/2/10 score and the highest DPM of the match at 856.
A lot of teams are now wondering how they are going to end up winning against Team Liquid, a team that is sitting at the top of the standings with a 4-1 record. The biggest concern for them should be in the draft as TL sometimes ends up with a very weak laning phase and that’s something that could be exploitable.
The thing is that even if they don’t have winning lanes, it’s very hard to take advantage of that fact as Team Liquid has the lowest number of deaths per game at 7, and to put things into perspective the next team on the list is Dignitas with 10.2. Another important thing to consider is that their objective control is outstandingly low considering that they are a team fighting for 1st place.
We Saw a Questionable Draft from 100 Thieves Against Cloud9
100 Thieves is one of those teams that only looks strong when they have an early lead big enough to transition easily into the mid game. The main factor for this is having at least 1 lane where Closer can basically camp, and sometimes we’ve seen them have 2 lanes like this. For example, in their first game of the week we saw 100T pick WuKong, Ahri, Lucian, and Nami, which basically means that they would have easy control over the bottom side of the map.
But now if we look at their game against Cloud9, they ended up with a Volibear pick but not a single lane that could use Voli’s early game presence. While things weren’t looking that bad in the first 10 minutes of the game, it was only a matter of time until C9 could start going for any fight they saw favorable, which was basically every fight.
They are going to have a huge challenge in the drafting phase, and unless Team Liquid botches their picks, 100 Thieves is going to end up struggling throughout the early game. Closer and Abbedagge are now forced to considerably step up as they are going up against
Santorin and Bjergsen, one of the best jungle-mid duos in the whole league.

100 Thieves vs Team Liquid Predictions
Like we mentioned before, this match is going to depend a lot on the draft. But even if 100 Thieves ends up having the draft they wish for, I still see Team Liquid as the favorite team in this match, just like the lol bets indicate. The bot lane matchup is heavily favored towards TL side as Hans Sama and CoreJJ are looking better and better, even though they had their bad moments in some of the games this split and the spring split playoffs.
There are definitely a few things that 100 Thieves could try to win this match. When it comes to league of legends betting, we have to consider a team’s performance against worse teams, and in this case, TL ended up dropping their game against TSM, while 100 Thieves won over Golden Guardians.
Bjergsen had a great game against FlyQuest as he ended up carrying the team during team fights, but he is far from being the dominant force he used to be in the laning phase. This is something that 100 Thieves might try to take advantage of if they somehow manage to put Abbedagge on a good matchup.
In the end, I wouldn’t blindly trust 100 Thieves as they’ve time and time again demonstrated that they are not the most consistent team in the league. They sometimes depend on the enemy team to make big mistakes, that’s why I think Team Liquid is going to pick up the win this time.
We’ve plenty of League of Legends bets for you to consider.
