Complexity vs MiBR Match Preview, Live Stream, Odds, Picks & Predictions

Two Sides of the Same Coin

On April 29, North America will face Brazil in the second quarter-finals match of the BLAST Premier: Spring American Showdown 2022. Complexity comes into this match confident as they recently took down Brazilian team GODSENT and secured a spot in the upcoming IEM Dallas 2022. On the other hand, MIBR tried their luck on the South American qualifier for IEM Dallas and failed as they got knocked out in the grand final by Imperial Esports in a close best-of-3 series.

The teams are fighting for a share of the $67,500 prize pool and a chance at qualifying for the BLAST Premier Spring Finals happening in June. Whichever team manages to win this series will face the winner of the match between Team Liquid and paiN Gaming that is happening on the same day. The last time these two teams played against each other we ended up having a very interesting series so let’s dive into the nitty-gritty of how these teams have been performing recently against the csgo odds.

Complexity Had a Shaky Series Versus GODSENT

In their last series against GODSENT, Complexity seemed to have total control over the maps they won, but on the other hand, they got dismantled by the Brazilian team on the one they lost. The first game was played on Ancient, which isn’t necessarily a map that Complexity feels very comfortable on. But the North American squad came strong right out the gates and scored a 7-round lead in the first half and closed out the game with a convincing 16-7 score after a couple of successful bomb plants.

The second map is where things went wrong for Complexity as Vertigo was the map of choice for Complexity, which ended up being their demise. Complexity managed to secure an early 7-3 lead over GODSENT, but the Brazilian team wasn’t ready to give up. TACO’s team managed to catch up by the 18th round and closed out the 2nd game with a 16-12 score, which meant that Complexity would have to win the next map if they wanted to qualify for IEM Dallas 2022.

The next game would be played on Inferno and things started the right way for Complexity as they won 7 rounds without dropping a single one. By the end of the first half, Complexity had secured a 5 game lead over GODSENT and they would just have to play it safe to secure the victory. The Brazilian squad played a fierce early game on the t-side where they won 4 rounds in a row, but Complexity was not going to allow a comeback, they secured the win on a 16-10 score and acquired a spot in IEM Dallas.

MIBR Had a Disappointing End to Their Qualifier Run

The Brazilian team started strong in the IEM Dallas qualifier where they beat Cruzeiro Esports and 9z team convincingly. MIBR went on to face Imperial Esports in the grand finals where they would play out a best-of-3 series. The last time these two teams played against each other, it was MIBR who came out victorious two games in a row. But history wouldn’t repeat itself as this time Imperial Esports defeated MIBR 2-1. The series started heavily in favor of Imperial as they won the first map with a 16-6 score and MIBR never had a big window to bounce back during the game as many esports gambling experts would agree.

MIBR did manage to win the second map of the series on Inferno, which was Imperial’s pick. But even if MIBR managed to win this one, it was still a hard game for them as none of the MIBR players really shined and it was a very back-and-forth game. Imperial wasn’t ready to give up and took the series home as they convincingly won the third map. MIBR needs to find a more consistent playstyle if they want to have a shot at winning the BLAST Premier: Spring American Showdown 2022.

Complexity vs MIBR Predictions

The last time Complexity faced MIBR was at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022 back in March and they weren’t able to secure a single map in the series. If we look closely into that series, it was actually very close and it could’ve gone to any team. MIBR picked Ancient as the 2nd map of the series and that was a smart move because it’s one of Complexity’s worst maps (31% WR).

I think that if we were to only base this upcoming encounter on how it went the last time these two teams faced each other then we could say MIBR can win this match. But in reality, if we look at how both of these teams have been performing recently, it’s safe to say that what happened during the BLAST Premier Spring Groups was just a fluke and Complexity will do everything to make sure it won’t happen again. I believe that Complexity learned from the mistakes of their last match against MIBR and the North American team will be able to take the victory home for all of the csgo betting aficionados behind them.
