FaZe Clan vs 100 Thieves Predictions, Game Preview, Live Stream, Odds & Picks, June 16

The Valorant North American Playoffs Kick Off!

After one month of intense Valorant matches, 8 teams remain in the tournament and only 2 will be able to claim a spot in the VCT Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen. These teams also will be battling it out for a share of the $200,000 USD prize pool, though their main objective is getting the chance to prove their worth on the international stage at Copenhagen.

For the first round of the playoffs we’ll see FaZe Clan vs 100 Thieves, and on the other side, Ghost Gaming will face off against Evil Geniuses. Today, we’ll be covering the North American clash between FaZe and 100T as this will probably be one of the most exciting matchups we’ll have in the playoffs.

FaZe comes off after a recent 2-0 victory against Evil Geniuses, and on the other hand, 100 Thieves struggled versus Ghost and ultimately took a 2-0 loss. While both teams were one of the best in their respective groups, they come in very different forms. Let’s find out which team is performing better as we go through their group stage games.

FaZe Showed Up Against Evil Geniuses

Last week, Quan “dicey” Tran was the best performing player in the FaZe lineup as he racked up a +13 kill differential and 169 ADR. The 19-year-old American player has been one of the most important pieces in the FaZe puzzle since he joined the roster back in January. And we’ve seen him put up amazing performances time and time again, not only last week. A couple of weeks ago FaZe clashed against Cloud9 and, once again, Dicey was the one racking up some of the best stats in the series.

This FaZe lineup is looking really solid, and even though they lost to OpTic in their first match of the season, it’s safe to say that they’ve been steadily improving. FaZe’s biggest concern should be if they are going to be able to show up on their best form possible in the playoffs, because if they fail to perform up to the expectations, it shouldn’t be strange to see them get knocked out very early on.

Since FaZe decided to put Jake “POACH” Brumleve on the bench, Kevin “poised” Ngo has been the weakest link for the team. Though Poised’s role is not a starring one, even in FaZe’s losses, he ends up looking like one of the worst players in the matches. That’s something that 100 Thieves might use to their advantage in this match, and unless Poised picks up his slack, things are going to be really rough for him.

100 Thieves Got Dominated by Ghost

The Thieves closed out their regular season with a defeat in their books as Ghost Gaming completely overpowered them throughout 2 games. While Breeze wasn’t the worst map for 100 Thieves as they managed to pick up 11 rounds, the Ghost team looked very solid, especially Brock “brawk” Somerhalder, who racked up 211 ADR against the Thieves.

What surprised a lot of esports betting experts was to see 100 Thieves be fully capable of dominating XSET, the team that finished first in group A. But at the same time, it was surprising to see them fall down to TSM, one of the weakest teams not only in group A, but in the whole tournament. If the Thieves want to take down FaZe, they’ll have to fix their inconsistency issues or we might end up seeing an easy for the opposition.

William “Will” Cheng has carried the rest of his team in the past, and knowing just how good he can be, he might end up being the key player in this series. The Canadian player completely took over the series against XSET as he scored a +18 kill differential and 200 ADR, which is something impressive to achieve against the best team in the group.

FaZe Clan vs 100 Thieves Predictions

This might end up being a closer match than most esports odds fans can expect. Even if the Valorant odds favor 100 Thieves by quite a lot, I think that FaZe might be able to put up a good fight against them. And if 100 Thieves don’t show their best form, then it wouldn’t be too crazy to see a 2-0 from Faze.

Dicey vs Will will be the highlight of the match, and whoever ends up putting the best performance will most likely end up scoring the win in their books. The fact that FaZe closed out the group stage with a convincing 2-0 against Evil Geniuses makes me feel confident in them, and I also consider that their steady improvement over the past month will be enough for them to take down the Thieves in the first round of the playoffs. We’ve plenty of esports bets for you to consider.
