After a disappointing performance in the LCK Summer 2024, Dplus KIA made a comeback at the LCK Regional Finals 2024, securing a spot at Worlds 2024 on their first try by defeating T1. They kicked off Worlds 2024 with a strong victory over Fnatic, followed by another convincing win against FlyQuest, finishing with a 2-0 record. However, they faced LNG Esports in the championship playoffs and were eliminated with a 0-2 loss, showing little chance of recovery. The most intense matches for Dplus KIA came against TES and Weibo, where they were defeated, ultimately finishing in the top 11 at Worlds 2024.

In the 2025 season, Dplus KIA participated in the LCK Cup 2025 within the Elder Group, where they dominated their opponents with a perfect 5-0 record, advancing directly to the semi finals. There, they triumphed over NS RedForce with a score of 3-1. However, they faced Gen.G next and lost 2-3, dropping to the lower bracket, where they met Gen.G again and suffered another defeat, this time 0-3.
Now they will face an inexperienced FearX, a great opportunity for an inconsistent roster to gather some confidence ahead of the 2025 campaign. Due to the nature of this matchup, Dplus KIA’s odds stand at 1.07, to win.
Hungry youth but are they ready for the LCK?
FearX is a relatively new team in the LCK. They made a name for themselves in the competitive scene back in 2018, but they reached the LCK in 2024 after merging Liiv Sandbox and SANDBOX Gaming.

During the LCK Spring 2024 season, FearX placed in the top 7, but they did not qualify for the championship playoffs. However, they advanced to the main stage of LCK Summer 2024, finishing in a close 6th place with a record of 8-10. In the first round of the playoffs, they faced DPlus KIA and lost 1-3, ending up in the top 6 of the championship.
A brand new roster is in place, mainly looking for former FlyQuest mid laner Vicla for experience and stability. We expect to see a heavy focus on engage compositions and mobility from this roster, as they want to overpower their opponents purely by youthful mechanical play.
