G2 Esports – Looking to extend their winning streak

G2 Esports has been delivering impressive performances since the season began, solidifying their position as one of the leading teams in the Americas region. They are currently the top VALORANT team in the Americas this season. After winning the Kickoff event, they are on track to secure another regional title in Stage 1, having already defeated FURIA (2-0) and MIBR (2-1) with relative ease.

While G2 Esports did make a small slip versus MIBR, it was on the Brazilian’s best map (Pearl) and against a lineup that many overlook. Additionally, they showed their strength by bouncing back after starting with a deficit, highlighting their resilience. At this stage, G2 is expected to perform well against any other VCT Americas organization, particularly against a less impressive team like NRG.

Odds stand at an expected low 1.34 for G2 to overall win this series, positioning them as massive favorites to take the matchup in their favor. We expect to see a quick 2-0 this time around, with both leaf and jawgemo showing their skills once again.

NRG – Yet another tough start to the season

NRG has struggled to match the performance of their rivals recently, and their lackluster results in the first couple of weeks in Stage 1 leave much to be desired. The organization didn’t kick off their campaign on a strong note, finishing seventh in the latest Kickoff event and showing little improvement since then.

In the first week of VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1, they were reverse swept by Cloud 9 (losing 13-6 on Lotus, 5-13 on Fracture, and 9-13 on the deciding map), but they managed to turn things around a couple of days back with a reverse sweep against FURIA (losing 10-13 on Lotus, then winning 13-2 on Pearl).

While NRG’s victory was impressive and to be honest rather unexpected, it came against a weaker opponent in the table, so it’s hard to give them too much credit. They still need to demonstrate their ability to compete against the top organizations in the region, and until they do, we shouldn’t expect them to win many matches. As for NRG, odds stand at 3.09 to take the fixture.
