Both Teams Fell To Faker’s T1
In week three of the LCK Spring Split, DK will face Gen.G for yet another challenging encounter after a fantastic series against T1. In the LCK 2023 Spring Split’s first round robin, Gen.G and DK already met T1, however they were unable to defeat the illustrious team and Faker. DK and Gen.G will have to compete to see who can remain in second place now that T1 is the only team with a perfect record.
The series might be much tighter than most would have thought based on their recent performances. While DK enters with a minor edge after stealing a game from T1, Gen.G has improved since their defeat. Peyz is now demonstrating why the org promoted him to the starting ADC position, as his and Chovy’s damage output is comparable (26.3% vs. 27.5% of overall damage).

Peyz and Delight will have to put in even more effort to win the series against Deft and Kellin. It will come down to who can push the lead first and defeat the other bot lane in the current bot-centric meta.
Which Lane Will Come Out On Top?

The two lanes that can tip the balance in favor of one team will be mid and jungle, with bot lane receiving the majority of the attention. To increase the pace of the game, Canyon and Peanut will likely acquire some powerful early-game junglers like Elise and Lee Sin. Expect these two to be a top priority, along with Maokai and Sejuani.
Watching the mid lane duel is particularly entertaining because Showmaker and Chovy are both demonstrating their expertise with a variety of champions. Given how crucial mid lane counter matchups are right now, both of them played at least seven different champions, and we might see more in the future. We’ll find out which side gets the chance to play one of these champions and whether Syndra and Ryze are still pick-or-bannable throughout the series. I would say that overall, the two are equal.
After the memorable series between T1 and DK in which Keria chose Kalista as her support, this could end up on another highlight video. Given how well DK can play around their bot lane, they are marginally favored versus Gen.G. Despite this, Gen.G can definitely extend this battle to at least three games.

Gen.G vs DK Picks and Prediction

This is definitely going to be the most exciting series of the whole week in the LCK, so make sure to not miss any of it. Even though both teams failed at taking down T1, they are still battling it out at the top of the standings. After seeing HLE being unable to meet expectations in a very disappointing manner, T1, DK, Gen.G are still considered the best teams in Korea.
Now, even though I think that DK is the stronger team in this matchup, I think that Gen.G might be able to pull-off something completely unexpected, dragging the series all the way to the 3rd map. DK didn’t look as convincing as I thought against T1, that’s why I think this series’ winner is a bit hard to predict, so going for over 2.5 maps played is a great choice.
