Can CLG knock down Immortals and secure a spot in the LCS Playoffs?
Counter Logic Gaming’s Last Chance for Playoffs
This is the last week of the LCS 2022 Spring Split and there still is a lot of league of legends betting to do, a couple of teams already secured their spot at playoffs but there are many more struggling to get one the last couple of spots available or at least have a chance at playing a tiebreaker.
Immortals is currently one win behind Counter Logic Gaming in the leaderboard which means that if they manage to get this victory their chances of getting into playoffs go up by a lot. CLG is two wins behind the next team in the standings so if they want to have a chance of at least a tiebreaker then this win is necessary.

The Immortals Team is Free Falling
After their catastrophic game against TSM last week, Immortals reached a 7 game loss streak, one of the worst we have seen ever in the competition and one that esports betting experts have been riding to profit. Their last win was in week 4, when they faced FlyQuest during the first super week of the split.
In their game vs TSM they managed to take Spica completely out of the game, killing him twice before hitting the 3-minute mark making him fall considerably behind. We would think that the game was almost over for TSM, but in reality Immortals couldn’t do much with their advantage, while PowerOfEvil was getting a lot of kills and having a great game on Cassiopeia, it was TSM who managed to secure the first tower of the game and a couple of neutral objectives after that. This was all a foreshadowing for what was coming next, Immortals kept scoring kills after kills, but TSM was ahead in gold and it only took one full on 5v5 teamfight at around the 28 minute mark for TSM to secure the victory.
Now if we look at their last victory it’s pretty clear how they are capable of winning games, it’s through standard play and easy to execute teamfight compositions. That sounds pretty average but Immortals do have their own way of playing through PowerOfEvil’s expertise on control mages.
Counter Logic Gaming’s Super ADC Luger.
This new face of CLG had a disappointing start of the split, but over the weeks they have managed to impress a lot of people, sadly for CLG it still hasn’t been enough. Currently on a 2 game loss streak, CLG absolutely needs to win their last 3 games of the split if they want a spot in playoffs.
CLG’s last week was a very difficult one where they had to face C9 and Team Liquid, the top 2 teams of the league. If we focus on their game against C9, they drafted a composition designed to win late game teamfights but if we consider that C9 has one of the strongest and most methodical early games of the league then it was clear from the start that this wasn’t a good idea. CLG was successful in securing the first blood and an early infernal drake, but it was mainly through Blaber’s dominance that C9 ended up securing the win.
We have to talk about Luger’s performance so far in the split, he is now considered one of the best ADCs in the league while playing for a bottom of the pack team and being responsible for pretty much alering the lol odds with his performance in many matchups. Luger has the 2nd highest DPM of all the ADCs in the league, sitting at 564, right behind Danny’s 613. Unfortunately for CLG, the rest of the teams take this into account and that translates to Luger having a high chance of being the FB Victim (20%) one of the highest of all players in the LCS.

Immortals vs Counter Logic Gaming Predictions
Immortals is currently leading the head-to-head 1 to 0 but it’s really important to consider that CLG has improved massively over the course of the split. They have defined their own style as a team that plays aggressively in the early game and can trust on Luger having a good performance. Meanwhile Immortals have shown the same face over the weeks and they still struggle to find a way to win games other than surviving the early game and relying on their execution for late game teamfights.
Counter Logic Gaming’s early aggression should put them ahead in this matchup and sadly for Immortals’ fans, their bot lane is considered one of the weakest in the entire league so this should make it even easier for CLG to play around their strengths.
