Can Isurus Bounce Back from their Last Defeat?

After dominating the competition throughout the majority of the regular season, Isurus has been looking a bit off recently. Last week, in their game against Rainbow7, the Argentinian Shark demonstrated why it was right to consider them the strongest contenders for the title. But things changed quickly in the following day, when Isurus couldn’t stand up against Estral’s scary early game aggression. While Isurus already faced the strongest opponents, this week is going to be a very important one as they really want to secure 2nd seed for playoffs.

Jesús Alberto “Grell” Loya Trujillo is at the same time one of the strongest and the weakest junglers in the league. His overconfidence can be a lethal weapon if he is able to catch opponents off-guard. But that same overconfidence can be his demise against more level-headed junglers in the LLA. His Hecarim pick against Estral proved this point. Hecarim can be a great pick only if you get a huge early lead, which is something quite hard to do against Bugi.

Omar André "Gavotto" Gavotto, ADC for Isurus

As long as Isurus can stick to the way they were playing before, they shouldn’t have major issues against lower-rated teams. Omar André “Gavotto” Gavotto is having one of his best splits in his career, and the meta fits him perfectly. During the spring playoffs, Gavotto had up and down moments, but he is looking more confident now in the bot lane next to Jelly. His Zeri is probably the best in the league and remains lossless with this pick.

Infinity Keeps Ramping Up

Brian Alejo “Snaker” Distefano, ADC for Infinity

This team didn’t have the best start of the split, but they have surely figured out what playstyle fits them the best. At the beginning of the regular season, a lot of league of legends betting experts were doubting Infinity because they were mostly playing around late-game scaling and teamfight compositions with picks like Seraphine being stapled for them. But something changed out of the blue and Solidsnake is now looking like he did back in his peak. He is bringing so much stability into Infinity’s early game that they now can branch out into other playstyles.

Teams are now banning Seraphine every single game against Infinity, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue for them. We now have seen them play strong early picks like Draven, while also being able to pull-off wombo combo drafts like Yone MF Amumu. If Infinity keeps this rate of improvement throughout the rest of the regular season and the early stages of playoffs, it wouldn’t be that crazy to seem to go deep into the playoffs, maybe even the final.

Their biggest weak spot remains in the top lane. This isn’t to say that Jauny is performing badly or anything like that, but Infinity prefers to dump all their resources into the bot lane rather than the top lane. The current meta isn’t looking great for a top laner like Jauny, who shined bright when his team played around the top lane because his picks like Jax and Camille allowed him to carry the game.

Isurus vs Infinity Predictions

After both teams started the split in opposite manners, a lot of people would expect this to be an easy game for Isurus, I don’t think that’s really the case even if the lol bets favor them. While I do believe that Isurus is the best team, they have shown their biggest weaknesses recently, and that’s something that a team like Infinity can take advantage of.

The Argentinian shark had the best early game in the entire league throughout the first phase of the round robin, but after a couple of strong showings, Infinity is now leading in this regard.

We need to keep our eyes on the bot lane, because that’s where all the action is going to happen, at least from Infinity’s side. Isurus might think that playing around the top lane is the better option due to Jauny not showing enough confidence in his play. I think that Isurus can fully rely on ADD to completely dominate the top lane to the point where Isurus’ top triangle is completely free to do whatever they please in the map.
