JDG vs Weibo Gaming Prediction, Match Preview, Live Stream, Odds and Picks

The Clash Of Chinese Super Teams

During the LPL offseason, JDG and WBG were the two superteams that everyone looked forward to. Both teams have outstanding skill and have already demonstrated their tremendous potential in the first half of the split. To win, each side must maximize its special qualities because any error, before champ choice or during the actual game, can be detrimental to the overall result.

As of right now, JDG appears to be the LPL’s strongest squad. They not only have fantastic players, but they also appear to have established themselves as a whole unit. They already have excellent communication, in part because jungler Kanavi frequently makes plays in the mid and bottom lanes. Meanwhile, WBG shockingly lost a series to Bilibili Gaming, who also managed to defeat JDG in one game. Despite losing, WBG quickly recovered and destroyed FPX.

Can WBG’s Top Side Make A Difference?

This team’s top half of the map is its strongest point; the three formed by TheShy, Karsa, and Xiaohu is something you most likely won’t see again for the foreseeable future. Karsa and Xiaohu are the ideal teammates for a team like WBG because they can adjust to any situation and play around any opponent, allowing their top or bot side to take control whenever given the resources.

WBG can play for both sides of the map, which is their main advantage and will be crucial to the success of the series, in contrast to JDG who often plays for Ruler. On paper, it makes sense for WBG to forget about playing 3v3 bot and instead direct Karsa to target TheShy and penalize 369. This will give WBG a chance to win if their bot lane can handle the pressure properly.

Contrary to JDG’s typical strategy, this is far more difficult to execute because TheShy must have a favorable matchup that is worthwhile snowballing. If not, even if he gains the upper hand, it won’t be sufficient to balance JDG’s bot lane. How WBG tries to turn things around from the start will undoubtedly be interesting.

JDG vs Weibo Gaming Picks and Prediction

Against any opponent they have met, JDG was certain to emerge with a sizable advantage by the 15th minute. They appear to have little trouble adapting and flexing picks across the various roles, and their draft read is also quite strong. Being equally good in-game and matching that coordination and aggression is the only way to defeat this team. Nevertheless, it’s far simpler said than done.

JDG is considered to be the series’ minor favorite as a result. WBG does have the capability of winning one game, but I don’t believe they can in Bo3 confrontations. Everything depends on consistency, and JDG has so far demonstrated stronger consistency.

As we discussed time and time again during the off-season, JDG is looking like the absolute best team in the league, and no other lineup seems even close to be able to match them. Weibo Gaming will pose a big threat heading into this matchup, however, JDG has every tool needed to come out on top in this series.
