PaiN Gaming vs GODSENT Match Preview, Live Stream, Odds, Picks & Predictions
Week 2 of ESL Challenger League Season 41: North America Kicks off!
PaiN Gaming vs GODSENT is the first match of Week 2 in North America’s edition of the ESL Challenger League Season 41. These two teams haven’t met in a while. The last time they played against each other was back in October 2021 at the IEM Winter 2021 North America Closed Qualifier. GODSENT managed to qualify for the Main Event and they got all the way to the quarterfinals where they got knocked out by Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-1. PaiN Gaming will try to get revenge against GODSENT as they are currently on a rise in the rankings. Their last encounter is a thing of the past and the new PaiN Gaming might have the right tools to defeat GODSENT in this exciting rematch.
The teams in this tournament are fighting for a share of the $50,000 USD prize pool and a spot at the EPL Conference S17 where they would face the best teams from other regions in the world. As we are only at the second week of the event, it’s hard to tell who is the clear favorite to win it all. Although we can be sure of one thing, both PaiN and GODSENT come into this tournament as strong contenders for 1st place.

PaiN Gaming Started on the Right Track
Almost a week ago we saw PaiN Gaming play their first game against Unjustified Gaming, one of the teams that were promoted recently to the league. They struggled quite a bit in the first map of the series where they went all the way to the 34th round. This result was really unexpected but PaiN Gaming quickly made a comeback. Games 2 and 3 were completely dominated by PaiN and didn’t give the North American team a chance to recover. PaiN Gaming closed out the series with a +14 round differential over Unjustified Gaming.
A few days later, PaiN Gaming faced fellow Brazilian squad FURIA in the grand finals of the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 North America edition. The series started with a really close game where we had a long OT but PaiN Gaming were able to finish the game with a 22-20 score. On the second map. PaiN completely dismantled Furia with an 8-round lead. Furia were completely stunned after losing such an intense first game. Now PaiN Gaming head into their series against GODSENT with confidence as they are currently on a 4 match win streak, upsetting many esports picks.
GODSENT’s First Encounter in the League
This would be the very first encounter of GODSENT in the ESL Challenger League Season 41, but they don’t come in their best form. GODSENT’s most recent match was against FURIA in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 tournament, the one that their upcoming opponents, PaiN Gaming, went on to win later on. GODSENT wasn’t able to secure any type of lead against FURIA in Overpass, the first map of the series. The first half ended on a 12-3 score in favor of FURIA. During the second half, GODSENT were able to secure a few more rounds but ultimately ended up losing the first map 16-7.
The second map of the series was played out in GODSENT’s pick, Nuke. The first half of this map was much more close, but that’s not something you want if you are on CT side in Nuke. GODSENT ended the first half on a 3 round deficit and weren’t able to recover from this as FURIA closed out the series in a very convincing fashion. This result doesn’t mean that we can underestimate GODSENT as a team in our esports picks. After all, FURIA is one of the strongest teams not only in America but in the whole world according to many csgo betting experts.

PaiN Gaming vs GODSENT Predictions
The head-to-head of this matchup is 4-3 in favor of GODSENT. It’s important to remember that they haven’t played in a while. These two teams have gone through different paths in the HLTV world ranking. While both teams have climbed up the ladder, PaiN Gaming is currently 13 points ahead of GODSENT in the rankings.
GODSENT has the lead in the head-to-head, but I believe that to be a thing of the past. PaiN Gaming has improved their performance considerably in the past couple of months. The aggression they’ve shown is something to be afraid of and I don’t think GODSENT will be able to withstand it. That’s why I think PaiN Gaming will take the series home against the csgo odds.
