You might be asking, why is this relevant? Well, PSG has qualified for Worlds every year since their inception in the PCS, however they have never been able to play with their intended roster due to Visa issues. Every single year without exceptions one of their members was missing for the tournament.
There is always hope around PSG, as on paper their roster has a clear mix of experience and raw mechanical talent. They were absolutely dominant domestically in the Summer Playoffs, boasting a 9-1 record, with their single loss coming in the finals against SHG. When compared to other sides they are a bit more limited in their champion pool, but are compensated by their pinpoint knowledge of the few champions they pilot.
While teamfighting is their main virtue, PSG is no stranger to aggression in the early game. Domestically the Taiwanese representatives record +1325 gold and +17.5 CS differential at 15 minutes, which spells absolute dominance above their region. On paper PSG is the better side this time around, with odds standing at 1.10 for them to take the series.

The South Americans have been highly successful in other titles such as Counter Strike and Valorant, even winning international titles comparable to League of Legends’ Worlds tournament. However within LoL they have found themselves in a slump during the last couple of years, even domestically there hasn’t been a clear dominant squad capable of putting a dent at Worlds.
Nevertheless, this year is different. Pain Gaming is undoubtedly the best Brazilian squad to qualify for Worlds in a long time, with them finishing the Playoffs 9-2, both losses happening in back to back series against rivals VKS. The key to their success? Stability. Pain Gaming managed to seamlessly integrate 2 Korean players, Wizer and Kuri, who have brought much needed lane efficiency to the Brazilians. This stability has helped veteran dyNquedo let loose a bit more in the mid lane, with jungler Cariok taking on the engage duties and AP damage coverage.
PNG might be strong domestically, but they still need to prove themselves on the international stage, with some still doubting their transition will be an easy task. The odds stand at 6.59 for Pain Gaming to win the series.
