ESL Challenger League Season 41: Europe Group D Begins

In the past few weeks, we saw teams like Movistar Riders, Entropiq, and Falcons Esports secure a spot in the playoffs after finishing at the top of their respective groups. Sprout, Heet, K23, and the former roster of Mad Lions are the Group D teams that haven’t played a single game yet, but now Sprout and HEET will kick things off. Both of these teams tried to qualify for the recent PGL Major Antwerp 2022 and both failed to do so, although HEET ended up just one map away from qualifying.

Some of the best players in the ECL Season 41: Europe is playing for either Sprout or HEET, which makes this matchup a very interesting one to watch. And although other groups have way stronger teams like Movistar Riders and Entropiq, it wouldn’t be too crazy to see any of these two teams be able to put up a good fight against them. According to the cs-go odds, HEET is the clear favorite in this match, but Sprout has managed to snatch games away from them, and they might just do it once again.

This is a rematch of the European RMR B qualifier, where HEET won the encounter in a convincing manner

Back in April, the French lineup almost managed to take down Astralis in their qualifying best-of-3 series, but they fell short in the last game. Before facing up against Astralis, HEET took down Sprout and Entropiq in a very convincing manner, which made many cs-go betting experts believe that they would be able to qualify for the major. But having to take down Astralis in a Bo3 is not an easy task, after all, they were one of the teams that qualified for the PGL Major Antwerp, although they didn’t make it past the Challengers Stage.

The most frustrating thing for HEET is how close they were to winning the 2nd map, which would’ve ended the series with a 2-0 score in their favor. It was clear that their inability to close out the 2nd game after making a slight comeback shattered their hopes, and it showed in the third game, where they only secured 4 rounds during the first half. Even if no one expected HEET to give Astralis a run for their money, they managed to do it, and something tells me that they haven’t reached their peak yet.

The Team Captained by Raalz Had an Unlucky Streak Last Month

Sprout hasn’t managed to pick up important wins against some of the stronger teams

Sprout tried to qualify for the PGL Major Antwerp and the upcoming IEM Dallas that commences next week, and they failed to qualify for both. During their run in the European RMR B, Sprout ended up facing Copenhagen Flames, which is one of the teams that got all the way to the major playoffs in Antwerp, and although it wasn’t a complete stomp, the Flames didn’t struggle against Sprout. After being taken down by the Danish squad, Sprout had to face HEET, and they couldn’t stand a chance against them in a game that finished on a 16-5 score in HEET’s favor.

The endpoint was the team that eliminated Sprout in the qualifier, this meant that in a span of 2 weeks, they failed to qualify for a big event. The Sprout players are one of those lineups that find themselves in some sort of limbo, where they are not good enough to take down the big teams, but they are clearly one of the best ones in the lower divisions. They are still trying to find the missing piece that will make them click and get them to a point where they’ll start scoring important wins.

Sprout vs HEET Predictions

If we look at the head-to-head record it becomes very clear why HEET is the favorite one to win this match. Although some of their past encounters have been close, HEET has managed to win over Sprout 6 out of the last 7 times they played against each other.

The last time they met each other was during the PGL Major Antwerp qualifier, and HEET completely dismantled Sprout. Now if we look at how these two teams are playing, we can tell that HEET’s decision-making is much more concise and they play at a faster pace when compared to Sprout.

Even if Sprout has managed to take down HEET in the past, I don’t think they’ll be able to do it once again and many cs-go betting experts would agree with this. HEET has been playing better throughout the last couple of months and after being just so close to qualifying for the major, I’m pretty sure they’ll start getting stronger and stronger.
