T1 Surprises DRX With Senna Cho’Gath Bot Lane
T1 used a unique bot lane strategy against DRX today in the 2023 LCK Spring Split, and they prevailed 2-0. Cho’Gath was the choice of the league’s top team for Gumayusi’s bot laner. Despite not being a determining factor, the unexpected pick occurred in the second game of the series, and T1 dominated their opponents.
It didn’t take long for T1 to get going because of the snowballing combination of Gragas and Jayce in the middle lane and top lane, respectively. Cho’Gath and Senna in the bot lane added more tankiness to the composition, making teamfights for T1 relatively simple once they gained the upper hand.
Cho’Gath had played in one game in the typical top lane role before this split, but this was the first time he had been selected in the bot lane. Cho’Gath bot doesn’t really come as a surprise, despite the fact that it seems strange. It makes sense that T1 used the pick against DRX given how pro players have been abusing it in solo queue for several weeks.
Hanwha Life Goes For Unexpected Support Flex Pick

Despite losing to KT Rolster and coming in fourth place, Hanwha Life stunned fans with a unique bot lane composition. With a furious competition up their sleeves, the Korean superteam selected Samira and Jarvan IV for Viper and Life, respectively. Despite using this bot lane pair to win the second game, Hanwha lost the series.
After a resounding victory in the first game, KT Rolster confidently entered the second match. They were taken aback by Samira and Jarvan IV’s selections, but Hanwha Life’s bot lane had little effect throughout the laning phase.
Instead, the top half of the map —particularly the top lane— saw much of the action. With an early snowball, KT really had the advantage for the duration of the match, but Hanwha Life was able to stall it off long enough to reverse the tide with a teamfight that decided the match, allowing them to rush the Nexus for the victory.
The final teamfight of the second game included a wombo combo, which was exactly what Hanwha Life’s composition called for. They sought to establish a significant crowd control chain with the help of Jax’s E, Wukong, and Annie’s ultimates so that Samira could perform a free-hit with her ultimate. Given that it was successful for Hanwha Life, it’s possible that it will be used against T1 once more.

T1 vs Hanwha Life Esports Picks & Prediction
What makes this game so interesting to watch is that both teams have been showing some interesting picks throughout the past couple of weeks, and I don’t think that they’ll stray away from that for this match.
We already saw these two teams battle it out earlier in the split and, surprisingly, HLE came out on top 2-1 in the series. However, I don’t think that we’ll see a similar result this time around.
It’s hard to ignore the fact that T1 always ends up performing way better than expected when the regular season is close to being over, and seeing how solid they have looked recently, I expect this series to end up in T1’s favor.
