One of the Oldest Rivalries in the LLA
Team Aze and Estral Esports have been battling it out for a while now, they met for the first time in early 2020 during DDH Spring Split, where Estral came out on top two splits in a row, defeating Aze in the grand finals of both splits. This rivalry has been going on for more than 2 years, but this time the stakes are higher and both teams are fighting for a spot at the 2022 MSI in South Korea.
Let’s remember that these teams met each other in the semifinals and Aze was able to take Estral down 3 to 1, but Estral showed a different side after we saw them play against R7 in the lower bracket. For Aze, this match means more than anything in the world because not only is this their first appearance in the grand finals, this is their first LLA split, and if they win, we could be witnessing a legacy in the making that will continue to make waves across esports gambling communities interested in wildcard regions.
Grell is Still Looking For The Crown
This is Grell’s 5th split in the LLA, and he has reached the grand finals in 4 of those 5 splits. It must be frustrating for the Mexican jungler to always be so close, especially because in every final he is able to win at least one game. Grell’s lack of domestic success still remains a mystery, during every single regular split he is highly regarded and is often considered the best jungler of the competition, hopefully for him, this might be his golden opportunity because he now has all the tools he needed but didn’t have in prior splits.
This is the 2nd final that the whole team is playing together, and it’s pretty obvious that they are working as a whole unit, especially Bvoy and Mia, the Korean bot lane. During the regular split, Rainbow7’s bot lane was considered the strongest in the league, but after we saw them fall against Estral’s bot lane in the loser bracket’s semifinals, it’s clear that Bvoy and Mia are the best in their respective roles.
I think that Acce is a strong pillar of the team, he is willing to be the weak side in most of their games but he still is able to have a huge impact on the outcome of the game. Leza is just as reliable as always, and if Estral finds themselves in need of playing around the mid lane due to the outcome of the draft, it’s safe to say that Leza can perform when it matters.
The First LLA Ecuadorian Champion
If Team Aze manages to win this series, Straight would become the very first Ecuadorian Champion of the LLA. This would make such an epic story for the Ecuadorian support if we consider that he was almost left out of the competition after Rainbow7 dropped him off their roster during the off-season. Now Straight comes into the grand finals after role-swapping from top lane to support, and he’s been performing exceptionally well.
Aze’s bot lane is such an interesting combination, 5Kid has shown one of the strongest performances during the laning phase in the regular split where he was leading in the [email protected] department, and he is without a doubt one of the two best ADCs in the league this season. On the other hand, Straight might not be the strongest support when it comes to laning, as he clearly is still adapting to the role, but when it comes to picking fights and leading the team, he is one of the best according to some league of legends betting experts.
Another thing that is worth mentioning, before Aze faced Estral in the semifinals people were wondering if Dimitry was going to fall against Grell’s aggression due to their past encounters. Well, Dimitry proved that he is more than capable of dealing with Grell and Estral’s playstyle around their jungler, making this an even more exciting matchup than it was last time. Aze demonstrated that they are a very flexible team and can play around any lane they need to, depending on their draft.

Team Aze vs Estral Esports Predictions
The head-to-head is in favor of Team Aze with an overall score of 4-2 and Aze being the ones to take Estral down in the semifinals 2 weeks before this encounter.
If we take a look at how their last series played out, it’s clear that Aze at that time was the better team, they simply played better individually and as a team. Their drafts were on point and it shows that Aze’s coaching staff really knows how to bring the best out of their players. This makes me feel confident when I say that Team Aze will take the series home once again, becoming the LLA champions for the first time and they will represent Latin America at this year’s MSI, perhaps challenging other wildcard teams against the lol odds.
Pick: Aze to win at -135
