Jensen Squares Up Against His Old Team
That is going to be the highlight of this encounter. Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen started his journey in the LCS when he was picked up by the Cloud9 organization back in 2015. Even though he didn’t get to win a single split while playing for C9, Jensen was often considered one of best, if not the best mid laner in the region, being Bjergsen’s sole rival.
After losing the 2018 summer playoffs finals, making it his 7th failed attempt of getting an LCS title with Cloud9, Jensen decided it was time for a change.
He joined Team Liquid, and even if they were the team that denied him a chance of hoisting the LCS trophy, Jensen looked much better than his counterpart in the mid lane.
Soon after Jensen joined Team Liquid, it was obvious that they were the best team in the league by quite a lot. They dominated the 2019 spring regular season, only dropping 4 games and went on to win the finals against TSM.
It probably was disheartening for Cloud9 to see his former mid laner win the league in the very first split of him joining a new team.
Now he is back in the organization that fostered him when no one else gave a second thought about him. Team Liquid dropped him off the roster after Bjergsen decided he wanted to come out of player retirement.
Because of the storyline, there is going to be a lot of pride involved in this match, making it one of the most exciting matches to place your league of legends bets on.
Cloud9’s International Success with Jensen
Even if they didn’t find any success domestically, Cloud9 clearly had the best international performances when playing with Jensen. In the 2018 World Championship, C9 managed to reach the semifinals after taking down one of Korea’s best teams, the Afreeca Freecs, in a very convincing manner.
Sadly for the North American fans, C9 was unable to score a single win against Fnatic in the semifinals, which was very disappointing to see. Still, that’s the furthest we’ve ever seen an NA team go in the Worlds stage, making it very exciting to see Jensen back in the organization.
Though we’re still very far from any upcoming international tournaments, it’s safe to say that after a failed spring experiment, Cloud9 have their sight on the trophy, and even if they fail to win the title, we have to remember that North America sends 3 teams to represent their region at the Worlds stage.
Bjergsen Will Face One of His Oldest Rivals
Bjergsen versus Jensen, I bet that just reading that sends chills down your spine. It might seem ages ago that these two players faced each other off, but in reality, the last time was back in the 2020 Summer playoffs when TSM ended up coming up ahead against Team Liquid in the semifinals. And even though TSM beat TL domestically, Jensen and Team Liquid had a much better showing on the international stage.
After 2 splits of coaching and studying the ways of Jensen, Bjergsen will have the chance to prove that he is the best mid lane in the region. While we still have to take Jojopyun into account, we can’t deny that when both Bjergsen and Jensen play at their fullest potential, they become unstoppable forces in the mid lane.
If you want to bet on esports, you have to keep in mind that a lot of players change their preferred playstyle throughout the years. Right now, Bjergsen functions more as an enabler, especially because he has probably the best ADC in the league, which makes it easy for him to play around him. It’s going to be interesting to see what kind of approach TL uses in the mid lane specifically for this match.

Team Liquid vs Cloud9 Predictions
The biggest talking point about this matchup, besides Jensen facing his old team, is that Cloud9 completely revamped their roster. It’s hard to predict how they’ll perform in the first couple of weeks, and it’s impossible to pinpoint what kind of approach they’ll have regarding their priorities in-game.
On the other hand, Team Liquid already proved to be a solid contender for the title as they took down Evil Geniuses in the first round of the spring playoffs, that’s why the lol bets are in their favor. We’ve plenty of league of legends betting for you to consider.
While Cloud9 has the potential to be the strongest team in the league if they find their groove early on in the split, Team Liquid comes in a more solid form and they shouldn’t have many issues against them.
