Rogue have Lost 4 out of their Last 5 Games
We could say that, right now, Rogue is in their worst form of the summer split. But even if we take into account their performance during the past couple of weeks, it’s safe to say that Rogue is still one of the best teams in the LEC. They are one of the most solid squads in Europe and they are likely going to make worlds due to the amount of championship points they’ve already secured. Sure, Rogue is doing fine, but there are a few things that they need to improve on if they want to make a solid run through the playoffs.
If we take their last game against SK as an example, then we can see what are Rogue’s biggest weaknesses. Earlier on the split and during spring, they could rely on Malrang simply rolling over their opponents as the ganking machine he is. But now, the meta is not really fitting their style, and their willingness to play Pantheon proved this. On top of that, for some reason, Malrang is spending a surprisingly big amount of gold in consumables. He bought 18 control wards against SK, as Pantheon, which is just ridiculous.
Yes, Rogue is still one of the most solid teams in the LEC, but it’s going to take them some time to adjust to the current meta. Larssen and Odoamne are not underperforming, but they are not popping off in any of their recent games. Right now, teams that have a strong connection between their jungler and solo laners are the ones looking stronger than the rest. And in this case, Malrang seems a bit off when it comes to playing for his solo lanes, and that might be an issue against Team Vitality.
Team Vitality has Found an Identity

Heading into the last week of the LEC, Vitality arrives in a great form, winning 4 out of their last 5 matches, which is the opposite of Rogue. This is mostly because they have finally come online, and they don’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. People think that when a team that is formed by great players doesn’t find themselves early on, only improves slightly when they finally find an identity, but that’s not the reality. When the likes of Alphari, Perkz, and Carzzy finally make a connection, they are going to play much, much better.
Barney “Alphari” Morris has been ramping up throughout the summer split, and in the last 2 weeks, we could say that this absolute unit in the top lane is finally online. To be fair, we could say that Haru is a big part of this, and Perkz too. Earlier on in the split, Haru was having a lot of troubles playing around his solo lanes, but not necessarily because of his fault. Now it’s a whole different story and we can see Vitality’s top triangle play in a cohesive manner, which is why they are tied for 2nd place right now.
Now Haru moves around the map in an aggressive manner with the aid of Labrov. Last week we saw them pulling-off constant dives in the mid lane, putting Perkz in a very comfortable position and allowing him to carry. As long as Vitality can keep putting up these kinds of performances, the chances of seeing them on the Worlds stage are very high.

Vitality vs Rogue Predictions

Let’s get it out of the way, both teams have an equal chance of picking up the win. But if we take into consideration that Team Vitality seems to be just getting better and better with time, they should be the favorite ones coming into this match.
Perkz used to get a lot of hate throughout the split for no valid reason. He was performing really well, and now that he seems to be fully connected to the rest of his team, I think that Perkz is going to take over the mid lane in the LEC.
Rogue is not performing their best, and Malrang could end up being a victim of Vitality’s aggressive top triangle. On top of that, I don’t see Comp and Trymbi containing Labrov, especially because Carzzy is feeling very comfortable playing as the weak side on picks like Sivir.
This match is definitely going to be a tough one for both teams, that’s why the lol odds are even. But our League of Legends esports picks have been doing great, we are positive in 4 out of our last 5, which makes us feel confident coming into this week.
