We can’t wait for the big golf tournaments to tee off in 2025, and we have three of our best 2025 golf predictions for the year ahead.

The 2024 season was all about Scottie Scheffler, the PGA vs LIV, and rookies winning on the PGA Tour. 2025 could be a similar storyline, and bettors get value odds for some likely outcomes.
3 Top Golf Predictions For 2025
1. Scheffler Top 20 in All Four Majors
We have been critical of Scheffler at times. He has yet to win a major outside the Masters, and he has only one official tournament win post-June, which came in the TOUR Championship.
He started that tournament with a lead and he didn’t shoot the best score, so we’re still waiting for Scheffler to show his best golf later in the year. He’s yet to prove he can win a major outside of Augusta, but one thing he has shown is his consistency.
The world No. 1 won the 2024 Masters, before finishing T8 at the PGA Championship, T41 at the U.S. Open, and T7 at the Open Championship. We’re happy to excuse his U.S. Open performance, and he’s capable of posting a top 20 finish in all four majors in 2025.
The latest golf odds have Scheffler at +200 to achieve the feat, which he achieved in 2020. He posted T18, T8, T7, and T8 finishes that season, and he just missed doing it again in 2023 when ending the year with a T23 in the Open.
We’re not sure if he’ll win a major in 2025, but he should be right around the mark, so include the +200 odds in your 2025 golf picks.
2. Englishman to Win Open Championship
Our golf picks this year include an Englishman to win the Open Championship, which pays a healthy +500 at BetUS Sportsbook.
An English golfer hasn’t won since Nick Faldo in 1992, but there are many quality English golfers on the PGA and LIV Tour, and Royal Portrush could be the scene of a long drought being broken.
Tyrrell Hatton’s on course commentary is the best. LIV is definitely going to have their hands full with this guy around the microphone. 😂

Headlining our best English picks are Tyrrell Hatton and Tommy Fleetwood. Hatton plays on the LIV Tour, and he’s one of the best players in the world. He is still ranked 15th in the world despite struggling for ranking points, which is credit to his class.
Fleetwood has yet to win on the PGA Tour, but he plays his best golf in Europe. The Open Championship is an ideal opportunity for Fleetwood to show the world his best golf, and with Scheffler struggling to show his best in Europe, Hatton and Fleetwood have a better chance to win.
Bettors get +500, and although there is a long wait from now till the Open, it could be worth the wait.
Bet On Englishman to Win Open Championship: Yes (+500)
3. High-Profile Player Leaves PGA Tour
There are no betting markets for a player to leave the PGA Tour, but we think one of the more high-profile players could leave for the LIV Tour.
It has been a quiet offseason in terms of rumors around players leaving the PGA, but there is still time for a player to be talked into leaving for the big money and job security of the LIV Tour.
Our top picks to potentially leave the PGA are Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, and Wyndham Clark. Fowler, Thomas and Spieth are buddies, so them breaking up seems unlikely, but sometimes, money talks louder than friendship.
Clark is a great chance to leave. He’s not the most popular player on the PGA Tour, and with his form tapering off following his major win at the 2023 U.S. Open, he could be enticed by the easier playing conditions at LIV.
We could also see Adam Scott leave for some easy money. The Australian could join countrymen Cam Smith and Marc Leishman, so if we were laying golf odds, we would be on the former Masters winner to leave.
