Scheffler Loves Winning Early

World number one Scheffler loves winning tournaments in February, March, and April, so the Masters is right up his alley.

Getting past defending champion Jon Rahm could be made easier in 2024. The Spaniard could be distracted with all the LIV rumors circling, so the +750 favorite could be there for the taking.

Scheffler won the Hero World Challenge when beating a field of only 20. However, it featured some of the best players in the world, so it was a rare turn of form at this time of the year.

He’s a much better player in April, and odds for golf are in his favor. He’s a +900 chance to win the Masters at Augusta, which is excellent shopping.

We expect his odds to shorten significantly closer to the start of the tournament.

McIlroy Making Cuts

Scheffler is the market leader to make the cut in all four majors, but we’re picking Rory McIlroy at a slightly better price.

The Northern Irishman is a -180 chance with sport betting markets to make the cut at the Masters, U.S. Open, PGA Championship, and Open Championship.

Like Scheffler, McIlroy is one of the more consistent golfers on the PGA Tour, and we can’t find a reason not to back him.

All of the courses suit his style of play, and although he missed the cut at the 2023 Masters, he had other things on his mind, including a recent withdrawal from the PGA Tour board due to its dealing with the LIV Tour.

Given the extraordinary time and effort that Rory — and all of his fellow player directors — have invested in the tour during this unprecedented, transformational period in our history, we certainly understand and respect his decision to step down in order to focus on his game and his family,” PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan said.

McIlroy bounced back with three top 10 finishes, including a second placing at the U.S. Open, so he’s the man to follow at the sportsbook. Also if you like to bet on ohter Golf tournaments we have more golf betting lines for you at BetUS.

Spieth Wins a Major

It’s a risky bet, but we’re backing Jordan Spieth to win a major in 2024.

The American went through some tough times on the Tour, but he has bounced back in fine style this year.

We don’t expect him to lose that form, and we expect him to improve over the next few months, which could see him win at Augusta or the PGA Championship.

His game, which is highlighted by excellent chipping, is good enough to win, so the +400 price with golf odds is worth snapping up.

Despite having not won a major since 2017 when taking out the Open Championship, Spieth has lodged some tidy performances since. He has since notched up seven top 10 finishes, the most recent being a T4 at the 2023 Masters.

We’re not leaving Spieth off our ticket.

Woods to Show Up?

The current line for how many major Woods will play is 2½.

We can’t see the legend teeing it up in three or more majors, especially given how stiff he looked at the Hero World Challenge.

It was great to see him back on the links, finishing 18th out of 20. However, we think he tees off in the Masters and maybe the U.S. Open, but nothing else.

The 47-year-old has played two majors in the last three years, and suddenly he’s expected to play three? We can’t see it happening, and under 2½ pays +130, which is the best value golf bet of the year.
