Huh? Don’t question PGA Tour Vet
Puerto Rico Open Offers Chance to End Victory Drought
Puerto Rico Open at Grand Reserve
FedEx Cup points are available for a quality field at the Puerto Rico Open this week and the event could be John Huh’s for the taking.
It’s an excellent chance for a second-level field to grab a PGA Tour win and it has kick-started many careers.

Golf betting odds are available for the Puerto Rico Open, which has Matthias Schwab as the slight favorite.

Long Wait for Huh Could Be Over
Huh won on the PGA Tour as a 21-year-old, but it has been a long 10-year wait to win again for the American.
He looked good when posting a T9 finish at the Honda Classic behind Sepp Straka last week and that performance will give him plenty of confidence.
It has been a season of inconsistencies for the 31-year-old, who reached a career-best ranking of No. 63 in 2013. However, he has the game to become a two-time PGA Tour winner at the Puerto Rico Open.
Huh finished T12 at the RSM Classic in November and T15 behind Viktor Hovland at the OHL Classic, so he has threatened to win and this tournament is there for the taking.
Major winner Y.E Yang said Huh has the goods to have success.
“He has all he needs to be a success out here; he’s proven that,” Yang told Gold Digest “He just needs to remember to let the game come to him. Golf takes time and patience. Too many players fall into a trap and want everything right away. It’s like the game itself: It’s about minimizing your mistakes.”
Huh is paying a healthy +2200 at the sportsbook, which is too good to pass up.
No Challenge for Schwab
Schwab is another player coming off a quality performance at the Honda Classic.
The Austrian finished -3 for a T7 result behind Straka last week, so he’s finding his best form and he has made the cut in his last six PGA Tour events.
He is only 27 and he is one of the more talented golfers on the European and PGA Tour, which is why betting online markets have him on top.
Schwab should be frothing at the mouth given his opposition, and although Huh will be tough to beat, Schwab is the more credentialed player.
He is paying +2000, which is a terrific price considering the likes of Joseph Bramlett and Mark Hubbard are paying +2200.
We would much prefer to have Schwab on our ticket at the slightly lower price.
Former No. 1 Searching for Answers
It was only 20 years ago that Luke Donald held the world’s top ranking for over a year, but time has not been kind to the Brit.
We’re not sure why he has fallen off the face of the earth, but it could have something to do with his lack of length.
The 44-year-old has struggled mightily, but he won;t get a better chance to regain his form than at the Puerto Rico Open.
Donald also made the cut at the Phoenix Open but carded a triple-bogey on the 18th to send himself packing.
“Played some lovely golf the last two days here at the Phoenix Open only to spoil it all on the last! After 20 years as a pro I can tell you this one really hurt, I can’t believe I did that!!! Sorry to be missing the weekend for what is an amazing week,” Donald said.
Bookmakers have Donald at a respectable price of +6600. It would take a good effort to prevail after 10 years out of the winners’ circle, but we’re keeping the faith.
