The American Express is next up on the PGA Tour and we have our top American Express picks for the big tournament at PGA West.

We’re picking Cameron Young to score an overdue win and bettors get value odds for the American.
The field is wide open due to the withdrawal by tournament favorite Xander Schauffele, per PGA news. The No. 2 player in the world pulled out on Monday due to an undisclosed health issue. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (hand) also is skipping the event.
Top 3 The American Express Picks
1. Cameron Young (+4000)
It has been a frustrating time for loyal bettors of Young, but his first win should come in 2025.
The former PGA Rookie of the Year – a title he won without winning a tournament – played well enough in The Sentry when posting a T8 finish behind Hideki Matsuyama, and slight improvement on that could be good enough to win.
Young doesn’t have the strongest mental game on the PGA Tour, which has held him back. However, he should enter 2025 with a positive mindset and it could translate into a win at The American Express.
Bettors get +4000 odds with The American Express betting market, and that price is too juicy to turn down. He represents value in this tournament, and if he’s anywhere near the leaderboard approaching the weekend, he will be there to strike.
2. Will Zalatoris (+4800)
Our golf predictions this week include Will Zalatoris to play well at +4800, which is another generous price for a quality player.
A one-time winner on the PGA Tour, the American has shown his best form in majors, but he spent a lot of time off the course due to a back injury. Therefore, we haven’t seen the best from Zalatoris, and that could change at The American Express.
Bulking up in the offseason 💪

“I really wanted to make sure that I’m setting myself up for the next seven, eight years, because right now at 28 years old, this is ‘go time,’” Zalatoris said.
He played at The Sentry and finished 26th, which was a solid effort. He closed with a 73 on Sunday, and had he played better, his finishing position would have been much better.
Now a 28-year-old, he has matured and, by all accounts, he’s over his back issues. With three second-place finishes at the majors, including the 2022 PGA Championship, Zalatoris can’t be overlooked.
Include him in online bets at value odds, and he’s another player who could win in 2025.
3. Mark Hubbard (+12500)
Mark Hubbard isn’t the name on everyone’s lips when it comes to betting on golf, but we’re going out on a limb this week.
Hubbard showed good consistency in 2024, posting a T26 finish at the PGA Championship and making the cut at the U.S. Open. Those were the only two majors he played, so he should be happy with those efforts.
Without a win on the PGA Tour, Hubbard belongs in the overdue category. He made 26 of 30 cuts last season, which saw him attract attention with bettors, but he was unable to close out a win.
He’s a 2019 Web.com Tour winner when beating recent PGA Tour winner Maverick McNealy by two strokes, so he clearly has talent and this tournament is there for the taking. Given the odds, we’re including him in our picks.
It’s not often you get a decent chance at winning +12500 odds, so take the value with our BetUS sportsbook.
