Some quality players return to the links for the Shriners Children’s Open this week, including sportsbook favorite Patrick Cantlay and in-form Max Homa.
The field also includes the likes of Sungjae Im, Aaron Wise and the popular Tom Kim.
It could come down to a tight Sunday afternoon finish for the PGA Tour title.
Let’s check the latest Golf odds, stats, injury reports, and Golf lines for Shriners Children’s Open. We’ve plenty of Vegas Golf odds for you to consider.
Confidence with Homa
The 31-year-old Homa is in career-best form with two wins this year and he could add a third to his record.
He’s a five-time PGA Tour winner since 2019, which includes four wins in the Wells Fargo and Fortinet Championship.
Despite having an average record at the majors, including eight missed cuts from 13 attempts, Homa has matured nicely and his confidence levels are through the roof.
He has been able to block out the criticism and is producing the goods on the course, which is why we think he’s a winning chance at the Shriners Children’s Open at juicy odds.
Golf odds have Homa on the third line of betting at +1600 and that’s excellent shopping. We priced him around +1200 given the quality of the field and those odds could shorten significantly if he gets off to a positive start on Thursday.
Having experience at the Presidents Cup, where he went unbeaten in four matches, is another feather in his cap.
“I just wanted to leave a mark of resiliency. I thought that would be who I am. Some people are great at hitting a 7-iron. Some people are great at putting. I’m gonna be the toughest guy you’ve ever met,” Homa told Golf.com.
- Pick: Max Homa (+1600)
Kim Earning Fans
Tom Kim played his part at the Presidents Cup and it earned the South Korean a stack of new fans.
He won the 2022 Wyndham Championship by five strokes, so he’s playing well and he’s good enough to add another victory to his record.
He also finished 23rd at the U.S. Open, so he showed he can play well in the big moments, and the 20-year-old is still learning his craft.
With 10 professional wins worldwide, Kim is a raw talent and that hasn’t been missed with betting online markets. Bookmakers have him at +2200 to win, which is on the shorter side of value, but we’re not leaving him out of calculations.
- Pick: Tom Kim +2200
Sticking with McNealy
The chase theory is being used on Maverick McNealy until he wins.
The 26-year-old is nearly at his best and the former world No. 1 amateur just needs to find some consistency to reward loyal bettors.
The Stanford-educated golfer missed the cut at the Fortinet Championship when shooting 75 in the opening round, but he’s much better than that. He finished second in that tournament last year, so he’s capable of producing the goods.
Despite McNealy missing the cut at the Shriners Open last year, we think he can turn that around. He’s a young player who posted nine top-25 results last season and bettors get +5500 for him to win.
We prefer to take the +260 for a top-20 finish, which is excellent value and worth including in golf parlays.
- Pick: Maverick McNealy Top 20 (+260)
