It’s the best women golfers in the world embarking at the Volunteers of America Classic outside of Dallas, including best friends Lydia Ko and Danielle Kang.
Kang missed in a playoff last week, and the American looks to go one better and golf odds have her offering some value.
Ko is currently the +800 favorite, so there are high expectations for the Kiwi superstar.
Let’s check the latest Golf odds, stats, injury reports, and Golf lines for the Volunteers of America Classic. We’ve plenty of Vegas Golf odds for you to consider.
Kang was close, but…
The six-time LPGA Tour winner came as close as one could without winning last week, so she could one better.
Kang lost the NW Arkansas Championship in a playoff to Atthaya Thitikul, but the performance should give her confidence at the Volunteers of America Classic.
The 29-year-old has been through battles, including the removal of a tumor (spine).
“The journey has been very tough. It’s actually unexplainable, I think. People around me experience hardship more, trying to keep me calm and back on track. It’s taken a village to get me back out here, and I’m proud to be standing here in front of you knowing that I’m contending tomorrow,” Kang told LPGA.com.
“Genuinely, I just want to cry, because it’s been a crazy journey for me and I know it’s going to be not easy moving forward. But even the fact that I got myself in contention, I’m proud, because it’s just so hard to wake up so early and I have to do so many things so that I can just play golf.”
A win would mean a lot for Kang, a +2200 chance with the sportsbook. There’s excellent value with those Golf odds, and we expect her to be fighting to the finish here.
Ko Ready to Go
Ko also played well last week without winning, but a T5 finish shouldn’t be overlooked.
Golf betting markets have again installed her as the favorite, as they expect the New Zealander to win again soon.
She’s a 17-time Tour winner-including two majors-annexing January’s Gainbridge LPGA. She has that recent win on the board, but she’d desperately love to have another.
It’s incredible to think she’s still only 25, so there are many more wins in store for the Kiwi. She has expressed the possibility of retiring early, but she’ll want a couple more wins on her record before that happens.
As was previously mentioned, she’s a +800 chance with golf betting markets and we’re doubling down on Ko for the second week in a row.
Pick: Lydia Ko +800
Lee6 After No. 2
It’s been a strange career for Jeong-Eun Lee, who is affectionately known as Lee6 on Tour.
The 26-year-old has only one win to her name, but it came in the 2019 U.S. Open, so she has the class to beat the best in the world
She also finished T2 at the 2021 Evian Championship, so she’s sitting on another win. Bettors are getting odds worth taking (+6000) at the Volunteers of America Classic.
Betting online markets have Lee6 a longshot to win. We can’t turn it down. She was good at the Cincinnati LPGA event two weeks ago, which should give her confidence.
“It was a good bogey-free round, and it’s been a while since I played bogey-free, so I’m really satisfied with my game today,” Lee6 said. “Two more rounds, so I’m just going to focus on my swing. I’m focusing on just downswing, so I did really well today.“
Pick: Jeong-Eun Lee6 +6000
