Masters Betting Guide: X(ander) Marks the Spot

We have our best golf picks for the Masters, which tees off at Augusta National this week.

Headlining betting markets is Scottie Scheffler, but it could be countryman Xander Schauffele at better odds to win.

Head down Magnolia Lane and find the best value with our Masters golf picks.

The Time is Now for Schauffele

Schauffele is widely regarded as one of the most consistent golfers globally, consistently securing top-five finishes yet falling short of clinching victories.

The 30-year-old American has surprisingly not claimed a major title, a fact that baffles many observers given his raw talent, but that could change this week at the Masters.

With two runner-up finishes in majors, including a notable performance at the 2019 Masters, Schauffele possesses invaluable experience at Augusta, which can’t be overlooked.

We’re happy with the +1400 golf odds available. He always puts himself near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday, and his odds usually firm considerably throughout the week.

The eight-time PGA Tour winner is desperate for a major victory, and his time is now.

Matsuyama Gunning for Two Wins

Hideki Matsuyama has had a remarkable comeback year, showcasing another strong performance at the Valero Texas Open.

Following his triumph at the 2021 Masters, the 32-year-old has consistently delivered impressive results on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2024 Genesis Open.

His T6 finish at The Players Championship was another strong performance, and he always steps up in the big situations.

Despite his stellar track record, Matsuyama finds himself somewhat overlooked in online betting markets, but that’s good news for bettors.

He’s a +1600 chance to win the 2024 Masters, and he’s included in our golf picks for today. Compared to the likes of Scheffler, who is too short at our sportsbook, the best value resides with the Japanese star.

Back-to-back for Rahm

Jon Rahm continues to make headlines for wanting to change the golfing landscape, but we hope his golf does the talking at Augusta.

The 2023 Masters champion has yet to win on the LIV Tour, but much like Brooks Koepka, Rahm always steps up when it counts.

He’s a +1000 shot to repeat as Masters champion, and although only three players before him have won consecutive titles, including Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus, Rahm is good enough to add his name to that list.

He’s the best LIV chance, and betting online markets are keeping him safe. Having experience winning the Masters can’t be overlooked, which is why fellow LIV player Sergio Garcia could also be a chance to upset them.

Garcia is at massive odds (+8000), and we fancy his chances of making a run for the title.

Straka at Massive Odds

Every Masters ticket needs a massive underdog, and our golf bets include Sepp Straka.

The Austrian is a +20000 chance to win the Masters, and although his recent form hasn’t been stellar, he’s worth a chance.

The two-time PGA Tour winner has made the cut in his only appearances at Augusta, so he likes playing the course, which is important.

We were impressed with his performance at the 2023 Open Championship when finishing T2. Anything close to that performance warrants having some interest in the big odds at the Masters.

He also helped Europe win the Ryder Cup, so he’s riding high, and the Masters has produced big upsets.
